Mounting Panel # 331-TPSI-003 basically is more of a match to the interior aesthetic of the 2016 GMC Canyon than the standard rectangular panel that comes with the Redarc brake controllers. Since there isn't much space on the right side of the steering wheel it looks like the best location is to the left of the steering wheel in between the steering column and those 2 round knobs on the dash.
