The Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller # RED44FR, along with the Plug-In Adapter # 3064-P for easy installation, is an excellent choice for your 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500. One of the many benefits of the Tow-Pro Elite is the small, unassuming profile of the control knob itself, which basically allows it to mount anywhere you have the space.
I went through our customer reviews and it looks like there should be a great location on the left side of the steering wheel on the dash inside your Silverado's cab. I have attached the images the customer sent in of the unit installed on his 2018 model Silverado that you can use for reference.
You can also add a trim piece like the Mounting Panel # 331-TPSI-001 or # 331-TPSI-003 for an even cleaner appearance.
