Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this mounting panel. This is going to allow you to mount the control knob for your REDARC Tow-Pro Elite trailer brake controller. Now, when you're mounting your control knob on the brake controller, probably the most nerve-wracking part of the whole installation is trying to find a place to drill a hole into your dashboard or console, wherever it is that you're wanting to mount that control knob because once you drill that hole, you can never un-drill it. So it's a little bit nerve-wracking.
If down the road, you want to remove the brake controller, switch it out for a different brake controller or something like that, you're always gonna have that hole there in your dash. This is gonna be a great alternative for those of you who have a 2019 or newer Toyota. This is going to fit right into the switch blank, the square-shaped switch blank on your Toyota so that you don't have to worry about drilling any holes. You just pop out your switch blank, pop this in its place, and it's going to give you that mounting location for your control knob. So it's gonna look like it's a factory integrated component on your vehicle.
You won't have to worry about if down the road you wanna switch it out. You can always just pop this out and put the blank back in. It's a very easy, no stress option for you if you have that square-shaped switch blank in your 2019 or newer Toyota. Overall, I think this is gonna be a huge option for those of you who have that available to you. Definitely want to use that switch blank if you have it available rather than having to drill into your console or dashboard.
That's gonna be a major improvement for you. So that's gonna complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..

Mounting panel creates a factory look for your Toyota's dash when you install the control knob from your Tow-Pro remote head brake controller. It is designed for square-shaped switch blanks. The mount looks seamless and I’m so happy I get to utilize my blank button panel in my dashboard. I haven’t used it with a trailer yet but like I said, the aesthetic is nice. The 5th gen rav has smaller square shaped buttons so it’s a pretty tight fit for the red arc controller. I have the Liberty. So I noticed I had to take the clear plastic piece that allows the led light used for communications to the user, off for the control to fit. So now I have no clue what color of any light is happening I’m sure having to guess if I’m in proportional mode or manual.
Nice little convenient add-on to make mounting easier and more sanitary.
This is an amazing piece! It fits my 2021 Toyota Highlander perfectly! It looks like a factory option, I am very pleased.

Thank you for the EXCELLENT customer service and the prompt shipping. Thank you also for keeping your shipping costs reasonable and fair, unlike other suppliers who use shipping costs to generate higher profits. I really enjoyed working with everyone at etrailer, and found the videos to be invaluable! I have always HATED to work on vehicles, but, thanks to the courteous assistance of your customer service crew, my installation of the brake controller went perfectly.
