Installing The Redarc Trailer Brake Controller # RED44FR On A 2020 Ford Ranger

I read your post on the brake installation for the 2019 Ford Ranger. At that time you stated that you had not made an installation, but had done some research on the factory wiring that should be in place. I have a 2020 Ranger and was wondering if you had made any installations on the 2020 and if so were there any issues with the installation and if the factory harness plug was under the dash as you thought was there on the 2019? Also in my researching I ran across the mention of a FoMoCo FL3Z-19H332-F 1X Trailer Brake Control Module. Does this module come with the 2020 Ranger with the Factory Tow Package or is it even needed if you are installing a brake control from another manufacturer? Thanks in advance for your expertise,

First you'll need a 7-way connection to install the Redarc # RED44FR and we luckily have an installation video of the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 7-Way Trailer Connector # C56431 being installed on a 2020 Ford Ranger available and I have attached it for you below. In the video you can see Ryan easily attaches the custom-fit T-connector plugs into the vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver side rear bumper.
Now that you have a 7-way connection port for your trailer you can install the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 3 Axles - Proportional # RED44FR in your 2020 Ford Ranger. I have attached a video of this trailer brake controller being installed by David on a 2019 Ford Ranger. In the video you can see David easily completes the installation with the most difficult part being when he pops the 12v outlet out to replace it with the knob for the controller so that he doesn't have to drill a new hole in the dash to install the knob. To do this you will need the Mounting Panel for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controller Control Knob # 331-TPSI-003 which does come separately.
As for the FL3Z-19H332-F, this module is not needed to control the # RED44FR brake controller.
