Question:

Considering the Redarc Tow Pro Liberty for a 2022 Ford Ranger with tow package. The Liberty does not make the list when filter by vehicle type is used.

The Redarc # RED24FR Tow-Pro Liberty will indeed work just fine with your 2022 Ford Ranger, because brake controllers aren't a vehicle specific piece of equipment. In addition to the controller itself, you'll also need the wiring pigtail, part # RED69FR. The pigtail will wire up with the tow package wiring located under the dash to the left of the steering column as shown in the provided photo and linked video.

The tow package wiring consists of a yellow wire with an orange stripe, a blue wire, a white wire and a violet wire with a white stripe. The yellow/orange wire connects to the black pigtail wire, the blue tow package wire connects to the blue pigtail wire, the white tow package wire connects to the white pigtail wire and the violet/white tow package wire connects to the red pigtail wire.

In the linked video, the customer wanted the control knob mounted in place of the left hand 12V plug in the console. If you wish to go that route, you'll also need the # 331-TPSI-003 mounting bezel. Otherwise, and unused switch knockout in the dash makes a great mounting location.
