Video Transcript for Review of the AquaFresh Exterior RV Water Filter

Today we're going to take a look at the AquaFresh exterior RV water filter. This comes as a quantity of two and it's going to help to reduce any chlorine taste or odor as well as reduce any sediment or scale that we might encounter from a water supply. There's going to be granulated activated carbon inside each filter and that's what's going to filter out that chlorine taste and it also is made of KDF material. That stands for kinetic degradation fluxion and basically through a chemical process it's just going to remove any chlorine, lead, mercury, iron, hydrogen sulfate from our water supply so we don't have to worry about any of those things coming through in our drinking water. The KDF material is also going to help our granular activated carbon to last longer. These are both rated to last about six months or for 3,000 gallons of water passing through so if you use one and then the other, that'll last you 12 months total with the two of them. Now these are also going to work at a temperature range from 35 degrees fahrenheit up to 100 degrees fahrenheit.

You just want to make sure that you remove these whenever you get into cold situations. You don't want to let them freeze. They'll also work at an operating temperature of 20 PSI up to 100 PSI.The case itself is going to be welded UV-resistant case so we don't have to worry about it cracking in the sun over time and to install it's going to be pretty simple. There will be a cap at either end that you will need to remove. It just pulls right off and then you'll want to put in a water pressure regulator and then a flexible hose saver and then your filter.

Let it flush for four minutes before you attach a drinking water hose and then attaching it to your water inlet. If you're using this on your RV or boat, you'll want to again, get a water pressure regulator and then your drinking water hose and then attach the filter. Let is flush for four minutes before attaching another hose saver and attaching it to your water inlet. So pretty easy. Just put it in place, flush it out, and it should be good to go. You also want to make note of the arrow.

It's a little hard to see on camera but there is an arrow indicating what direction the water needs to flow. So water comes in here, goes out of the other end. As far as the dimensions on our filters, they're both going to be from tip to tip about 10 and a quarter inch long and the widest diameter is going to be about three inches. And that's going to do it for our look at the AquaFresh exterior RV water filter with a quantity of two.

  • What Is the Micron Rating of the AquaFresh Exterior RV Water Filter Kit
I did some checking on the AquaFresh Exterior RV Water Filter Kit part # A01-1131VP and the micro rating is 20. The water filter kit reduces chlorine, sediment, and bacterial all while improving the taste and odor of your fresh water supply. The filter will need to be replaced when your water flow deceases as that is a sign that the filter is full. The AquaFresh Exterior RV Water Filter part # A01-1132VP can be used for this. The Camco RV and Marine Premium Water Filter Kit part # CAM40631...

  • Preventing Scale in RV Water Tank
What you are seeing is scale, this is a buildup of minerals inside of your water heater, calcium and magnesium are usually the primary minerals but it is probably others as well. Regular flushing of your tank as you have done is good thing, but this is coming from the water source. The purpose of the anode rod is to help protect the steel water heater tanks from corroding. Using a filter such as the AquaFresh Exterior RV Water Filter, # A01-1132VP on your inlet hose connection allows...

  • Semi-Permanent RV Sewer Connections Made To Septic and Fresh Water Supply Needed - 75 Feet
Your fresh water hose is an easy recommendation, I suggest the Camco RV drinking water hose, 5/8" diameter at 75' Long, # CAM22803. This is a reinforced PVC hose for drinking water made of FDA-approved materials and BPA-free. Because you state that you are new to RV living I will make the suggestion that you also use a water pressure regulator, I suggest the Camco RV Water Pressure Regulator, # CAM40055. Please see the attached video for a visual of product. Because inconsistent water...

  • Recommended Items for RV Waste Disposal
Dumping tanks is probably an RV owner’s least favorite task but truth is it is really not all that bad. You will need the proper connections to your tank, hose, and the waste station connections. There are multiple options of each but I suggest the Camco RhinoEXTREME RV sewer hoses # CAM39867. This will work great to dispose the waste from your RV to the camp sites dump station. And by the way, I recommend not staying connected to the waste tank all the time with valves open as this...

  • Does Everchill RV Refrigerator with Integrated Ice Maker
The Everchill RV refrigerators we carry do not have an integrated water filter. Any filter would need to be an external version like the AquaFresh Exterior RV Water Filter - Qty 2 # A01-1132VP. This is an in-line filter with your water connections. We don't currently carry the model you referenced, but based on my research it doesn't have an integrated filter.
