I received the items in a very timely fashion and in great shape. I torched off the old U bolts and removed the axle. I removed the new spring seats using a cut off wheel in my grinder and moved them inward one inch on each side, then MIG weld the new ones on they lined up perfectly to the old ones. I then installed the new U bolt kit and torqued them down to 65 foot lbs. The old bearings were only one year old and reused them after cleaning. I installed new seals at this time. The brake pads were same age as bearings showing little wear. The old axles were not Dexter axles and rusted from the inside out then broke off by the drop.. I replaced both. Was a pleasant experience and would do it all over again.

I build custom trailers. I have been doing so for 50+ years. etrailer has consistently been the second cheapest supplier of axles, springs, hangers, hubs, and etc. that we have been able to locate. When you see the difference in quality that etrailer has you'll be buying the second cheapest too! These guys only offer one kind of quality - the EXCELLENT kind. Of the 8 or so trailers that I have in the road 24/7; 100% of them were made from etrailer components! Highly recommended!

Had to cut off the mounts and re-weld since it didn't fit my trailer perfectly. However it was the best option for me and the product was just as described.

I called to confirm fitment and availability. I then place the order on line on Wednesday and the axle showed up Friday evening. You can not beet that! Local suppliers where about $75.00 more and I had to go pick it up an hour each way!

Its has been year and I have had no issues at all with the replacement axle! The dexter axle it replaced was put into service in 1990. I believe this will last just as long!
