How Do I Use Adhesive?
Alpha's 8010 adhesive provides a strong bond between a roof membrane and an RV's roof. How you apply the adhesive will depend on the surfaces of the materials you are bonding together.
If 1 of the 2 surfaces is porous - a surface with empty spaces that allow the passage of water or liquid - apply the adhesive to the membrane only. An example would be a roof made of untreated wood and an EPDM membrane. The untreated wood is porous, meaning coating it with the adhesive could cause it to seep into the wood. So, apply the adhesive to just the membrane, let it dry for 20 to 30 minutes, and then lay it onto the wood for a leak-free roof.
If both of the surfaces are non-porous, apply adhesive to both the membrane and the rooftop. For example, if you have a metal roof and you are laying down an PVC membrane, you can put the adhesive on both materials because their non-porous construction will keep the adhesive from seeping through.
After applying and laying the membrane flat, squeegee out the air bubbles that will inevitably form to ensure full contact between surfaces.

Jeff: Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at the Alpha Systems, 8010 water-based adhesive in white for RV roofs. This is a five gallon size. Now this'll fix your RV's roof using this water-based adhesive. It is a quick drying adhesive, creates a nice long lasting bond for your RV roof membrane.
This will adhere the EPPDM, the PVC, and the Hypalon membranes to wood, plywood, fiberboard, gypsum, and concrete decking. Now once this cures, it does stay flexible allowing for expansion and contraction of the attached roofing membrane. This does apply with a brush, a sprayer or roller. Basically for applications where one of the surfaces is poorest, you apply adhesive to only the membrane. For applications where both surfaces are non porous, you apply adhesive to both sides and you do want to roll or broom down the membrane to eliminate any bubbles, to ensure full contact between the surfaces. As we mentioned, this is in a white color.
It has made in the USA. The size this is coming in is a five gallon bucket, and the coverage for this is 160 to 200 square feet per gallon. But that should do it for the review on the Alpha Systems 8010 water-based adhesive in white for RV roofs in the five gallon size.
