Question:

i have a old boat trailer that needs a new hub its a tapered spindle from .750 outer to 1.375 inner any ideas? 5 bolt on 4 1/2

Your spindle is an obsolete size and will need to be replaced. We have a couple options such as our Replacement Weld On Straight Spindle # TRU77FR or the 4" Drop Spindle # TRU87FR both of which are designed to weld onto a 2-3/8" outside diameter axle tube. Then you will be able to use a standard size 3,500LB Idler Hub # AKIHUB-545-35-EZ-K.

We also have some axle options if you would rather just get a replacement axle you can bolt on.
