Video Transcript for MORryde Tandem Axle Trailers AllTrek 4000 Equalizers Review

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the MORryde AllTrek 4000 Suspension Equalizer. Now our previous equalizer here you can see that it does have rubber and that's gonna allow this to kind of move up and down and have that cushion. These are pretty loose here, which is fine. It does have that movement and each of them are about I'd say an inch and a half. So you have some movement up and down and that's where putting it side by side you can see the AllTrek is not only it seems like it's a little bit taller but that's because you have four inches of movement here because you have this rubber that's supporting that weight, and as this moves up and down it's gonna be nice and even it's not gonna be sloppy and you're gonna get more of that suspension travel which allows your suspension to move a little bit more giving you a better ride overall. And that's gonna not only make for a smoother ride and kind of just be easier on your camper and it's contents but also that's gonna transmit all of that energy up to the pin box.

So it's really gonna cut down on that porpoising because the suspension can kind of settle out and take those bumps away from your connection point. Now this is bolt on installation. In fact, you can reuse your old wet bolts. What I've found, you might wanna pick up a new wet bolt kit while you're here. That way you have, you know, all new components a new hardware in place.

Now it's not required to have a crossmember kit as well. We are gonna be putting one on here. So yours may not look like this but it is not required to get this installed. Not only are you gonna get more suspension travel allowing the suspension to work better but you also have 40% more rubber absorbing those shocks. It's also gonna be progressive so as it kind of presses up, it's gonna fight against that and really settle out the suspension.

So having a little bit more cushion and more travel just means that suspension can really do what it needs to do. Now this does come as a quantity of two so it's gonna allow you to get your tandem axle set up with the one kit. But if you do have a triple axle you are gonna wanna pick up another kit. That way you can get all of your equalizers done. Installation is pretty straightforward.

You are just kind of bolting it in and you will have to get your old wet bolts out which kind of can be a struggle. And you will have to obviously take your wheels off and be able to support the axles. Might wanna have a floor jack ready too just to kind of move it as you need to to get some of your hardware in place. But overall, it's not too bad to do. Now here's what they're gonna look like installed and this is gonna be a great pretty easy upgrade to install. It's gonna give you a lot better suspension because of the ability to have a little bit more travel. And that just means a better towing experience overall. And that was a look at the MORryde AllTrek 4000 Suspension Equalizer.

Excellent upgrade. Smoothed out ride going down bumpy roads

by:

Got the lift I was looking for and they are worth the money. Smooth ride!

Installed the CRE3000 on previous 5th wheel & it improved the ride & handling.
Installed the AllTrek 4000 which is heavier 5th wheel. Have not driven the rig yet, but i expect the same results as the CRR3000.
I would highly recommend the installation of the upgraded hangers.
Completed installation in approximately 6 hours.

Installed this on my 2019 Grand Design Momentum 328M. Replaced the existing factory Lippert Equa-Flex system. Installation went smoothly, also installed the Moyride upgraded shackle and wet bolt kit. I chose the mouride because I found that the brass inserts for the wet bolts on the Equa-Flex system were toast and couldn’t be easily replaced due to the size of the brass insert. The Morryde system seems to have replaceable brass inserts. Just installed today so can’t do any comparison or review on ride quality just yet.

Update after 1 year. Ride quality has substantially improved over the stick setup. I just completed a 2 week 3000 mile round trip journey and had no issues. The suspension system is working well

They greatly improved the ride of our 2001 Montana. Things inside aren’t being tossed around like they were before we installed them. I watched them from the side when it was moving forward slowly and I couldn’t believe how they moved to the ground roughness to keep the camper from getting thrashed around.

Great upgrade. After years of travel, it was time. Great fit and installation went ol

  • Want To Upgrade From CRE 3000 Suspension On 2023 Grand Design Momentum 336M
Hello Lanny, thanks for reaching out. The CRE 3000 is already a pretty good suspension system, but if you want to upgrade, the first thing that comes to mind are the AllTrek 4000 equalizers. They have more rubber than the CRE 3000, 40% more, so you will get a lot more effective shock absorption. It also adds another inch of suspension travel. This will definitely be the best option for an upgrade that does not require any major modifications. You will just need to select the correct equalizer...

  • Upgrading Suspension Equalizers On 2018 Prime Time Trace Air 275 Travel Trailer
Hey Scott, I can certainly point you in the right direction for picking out an equalizer upgrade kit for your 2018 Prime Time Tracer Air 275 travel trailer. You will need to measure your wheel base (aka axle spacing) to determine if you need MORryde ALLTREK 4000 Shock Absorbing Equalizers for Tandem Axle Trailers - 33" Wheelbase - 8K # MR89DR or the 35" Wheelbase version # MR29DR. This measurement is the center of the front axle to the center of the rear axle. For the wet bolt kit, I...

Hey Nick, thanks for reaching out! The MORryde AllTrek 4000 Equalizers for Tandem Axle Trailers # MR29DR will work as long as you have a 35" wheelbase (center axle to center axle) and it meets the specs in the attached photos for the qualifier.

  • Comparing MORryde AllTrek and SRE4000 Premium Rubber Suspension Equalizers
The MORryde AllTrek 4000 Equalizers for Tandem Axle Trailers # MR29DR are the new upgrade to their counterpart - the MORryde Premium Rubber Suspension Kit for Tandem Axle Trailers MR47ZR. According to MORryde, the AllTrek has been through more intense testing than any of their other equalizer systems and since it doesn't have to have the crossmember that's just an added bonus. Unless you like the idea of having that extra crossmember, I recommend going with the AllTrek.

  • MORyde Cushioned Equalizer that Fits 2017 Jayco Jayflight 212QB
Hey Mike, since your wheelbase is 33 inches the correct MORryde Alltrek is the part # MR89DR. The distance between the bolt holes left to right is 6-1/2 inches which is close enough to what you have and the vertical dimension is 4-1/2 inches which is also close enough. The correct shackle kit would be the part # MR46ZR which is 2-1/4 inch like you mentioned as well.

  • Should I Switch Out My CRE3000 Equalizer for the CRE4000 Equalizers? How are the CRE4000's Better?
Hello Jay, So, the good news is that yes, the CRE4000 # MR29DR can work with your 2023 Grand Design Imagine 2500RL. It’s built for tandem axle setups with axle ratings from 3,500 to 7,000 lbs, just like the CRE3000. As long as your axle spacing is the standard 35 inches (which it usually is on the 2500RL), it will fit great! Where the CRE4000 really stands out is in performance. It gives you an extra inch of vertical travel (4 inches total vs. 3 inches on the CRE3000), and it includes...

Hey Jeff! I'm not sure who told you that but the information is incorrect. The MORryde X-Factor Crossmember can be used with the AllTrek 4000 like # MR29DR. The correct X-Factor crossmember is the # MR33WR which is the same as the XF12-001. You can see the compatibility chart from MORryde attached below. Hey Doug! More than likely the Lippert Center Point # LC1565391 will fit your 2017 Jayco 2035 RKDS. The system is designed for standard center hangers at least 3" wide and measuring at least 2-1/2" from the equalizer hole to the top of the hanger. Hanger spacing must also be 29-1/2" or 30-1/2" apart. As long as you meet these requirements it will work. Any big trips planned with your Jayco this summer?

This is a gooseneck adapter though so you'd have to switch out the hitch for a gooseneck ball for this to work. • Is It Worth Upgrading to MORryde AllTrek 4000 From CRE3000 on Jayco 5th Wheel Trailer
Hey Luis, We can answer both your questions in one as yes, you can change from the CRE3000 to AllTrek 4000, and it's definitely an upgrade worth making, as the AllTrek 4000 is better in a couple ways from the CRE3000. The first is the 4000 is constructed with significantly more rubber - 40% - than 3000, which means more shock absorption as you tow. It also has another inch of suspension travel - 4" compared to 3" - to further smooth out your ride. So this is a true upgrade to make towing...

Hey Rodney, it sounds like you've done your homework! That MoRryde set up you referenced is definitely going to upgrade your Dutchman's suspension and make towing it more comfortable. You'll want to take two measurements before ordering though because I do not have a database that tells me your trailer's axle spread or the length of your shackle straps. The wheelbase is measured from the center of the front wheel to the center of the rear wheel. I'm not sure what this is on your Grand Design, but it's a fairly simple measurement to take. Hey David, it sounds like you have the correct length equalizers on your trailer based on the shackle angles you mentioned. Sometimes the equalizer lengths do match up with the wheelbase like you mentioned but it's not always the case as leaf spring lengths vary which throws everything off. Hey Keith, thanks for reaching out! The MORryde AllTrek 4000 # MR29DR will work as a direct replacement if you currently have the MORryde CRE3000 # MR27ZR for a 35" wheelbase. With that being said, I still recommend checking out the linked qualifier requirements because the AllTrek 4000 has a bit more up and down travel than the CRE3000 so it's not compatible with every single trailer setup.
