Question:
I have a 2018 28foot Northwood Fox Mountain 235RLS tandem axles with gross weight of 11,500 lbs. I plan on installing the All Trek 4000 eqilizers with the MORryde heavy duty bushings and wet bolts. Also switching to Reese Goosebox pin box. My question is whether the new equalizers will be enough or whether the Roadmaster Comfort Ride shocks will further reduce bouncing and jaring. Thank you.

Hey Bruce, welcome back! Adding the MORryde AllTrek 4000 # MR89DR (33" wheelbase) or # MR29DR (35" wheelbase) will improve the ride on your Fox Mountain 235RLS. Adding the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Shock Absorbers # RM-2460 will be a significant improvement on top of that.
It is hard to say if just the equalizers is "enough" since that depends on a lot of things. I have upgraded equalizers (Dexter E-Z Flex) and they did improve the ride quite a bit. If we towed more often I would definitely want to add some other things like shocks to make it even better. If you're willing to spend the money and you're towing often, the shocks are definitely a worthwhile addition.
If you're towing all the time, the best option would be the full Roadmaster Comfort Ride Leaf Spring Suspension Kit w/ Shock Absorbers. This will replace your equalizer and leaf springs, plus you get the shocks. It operates just like an independent suspension so you'll get a really nice, smooth ride. I'm not sure what your axle capacity is exactly, I'm guessing 5,200-7,000 lbs like what that shock kit fits, so if you want to go this route you can choose from the following:
-Roadmaster Comfort Ride Leaf Spring Suspension Kit - Tandem 5K Trailer Axles # RM-2460-2560
-Roadmaster Comfort Ride Leaf Spring Suspension Kit - Tandem 6K Trailer Axles # RM49NQ
-Roadmaster Comfort Ride Leaf Spring Suspension Kit - Tandem 7K Trailer Axles # RM-2460-2570
Also, make sure you match your shackle strap length so you get the correct MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit. If you have 2-1/4" shackles (center hole to center hole) you need # MR46ZR and for 3-1/8" # MR76ZR.

I installed the AllTrek 4000 on my 240RKS Timber Ridge trailer. We pulled it from Alaska to Oregon to Pennsylvania to Florida to New Mexico back to Oregon! They improved the ride and handling . I believe they helped to negate broken springs and hangers. I think they are well worth the money!

I've just replaced my original stock components on my 2006 Crossroads Cruiser 30' CT-30 RL with all new products from eTrailer. The upgrade is fantastic. The old stuff was worn out and the springs were almost flat.I had to get the Alltrek 4000 because of the shape of my original parts. I couldn't be happier. I replaced everything including the springs and all hardware. We've just done a short trip to check things out and now we're planning our next trip across the state. The entire truck/trailer combo seems to be noticeably smoother/more comfortable as we ride. The next long trip should be our best one so far. We're getting ready for long term, high milage trips in the future and this system upgrade was the best decision we could have made.

I think you will be well pleased with the AllTrek, especially if you are upgraded stock suspension. We have a 21 Arctic Wolf 287BH, total weight around 9800 and the ride on the factory suspension was horrible. With this upgrade I gained a little height (about 1.5 inches) and now arrive with everything where it was when we left home. Helped not beat the truck to death too.
