If hand cranking has worn out your arms, this powered jack brings relief. The etrailer Electric Trailer Jack lifts and lowers 3,500 lbs with a simple press of a button. The 12-volt motor delivers a full 18" of lift, and the built-in drop leg adds another 4-1/2" when you pull the pin for extra height. It moves quietly and steadily without strain, even under load, so hitching or leveling is quick and easy.
Installation is straightforward thanks to a standard 3-bolt A-frame pattern with 3" spacing. The bolt-on design saves time and eliminates guesswork—no drilling needed. Hook the positive lead straight to a 12-volt power source, ground the black wire to the frame, and you’re ready to go. The 20A automatic reset relay fuse protects the motor from overloads and resets on its own, so you never have to hunt for replacements.
Bad weather doesn’t stop this jack. The top-mounted power and extend/retract switches are sealed under flexible rubber boots to keep water out. A rubber cap covers the crank port, so moisture and dust stay away from the internal gears. The tough black powder coat finish resists rust and corrosion for dependable use through rain, sun, and road grime.
When you roll in late, the LED courtesy light on the front of the jack lights your coupler area so you can see clearly. No need to juggle a flashlight while lining up the hitch. The light switch is right next to the power controls for quick access, making setup in the dark effortless.
Even if power runs low, you’re covered. The included hand crank lets you operate the jack manually through the sealed top-port opening. A durable canvas cover shields the unit from sun and weather when parked, and it’s backed by a limited lifetime warranty for lasting confidence in your setup.

Look's great on your trailer, Jonas! I know being able to open the tailgate sometimes is a major hurdle for a lot of people so I'm glad this new jack gives your the space for opening yours.

I'm glad you were able to get everything working! The trailer shouldn't be noticeably leaning to one side as you lower it, so I would double-check that the jack is mounted square and everything is tight. For the battery connection, the order of the washers can matter since you want the cable lug making solid contact with the battery terminal.
