Hi Jeff!
The etrailer Electric Trailer Jack w/ Foot Plate - A-Frame - 14" Lift - 2,000 lbs # e64GV would be a great option for your 7,000 pound enclosed trailer.
The 2,000 pound capacity would definitely cover you and it uses the standard 3 bolt pattern found on just about every A-Frame trailer. You will need to wire it to a battery on your trailer, but this is honestly the best way to power these kinds of jacks (some vehicles don't work very well with the jacks that utilize the 7-Way plug). The only "downside" to this hitch is the 14" of lift. It is on the lower side, but can be supplemented with a drop leg, something like the 4" # FA88-00-4500 or the 6" # FA88-00-6500.
Or you could go with something like the etrailer Electric Trailer Jack - Drop Leg - A-Frame - 18" Lift - 3,500 lbs # e23ZV. This has more capacity, more lift, and comes with a drop leg for even more height. You would still need to wire it to a battery on your trailer and also uses the standard 3 bolt pattern. It's a little more expensive, but this is probably the one I would use if I were upgrading my trailer jack.
What are you typically hauling in your trailer?
