E-Z Lube-Compatible Hub for Simple Lubrication

The grease cap on this hub is specially designed to work with your Dexter E-Z Lube axle to make lubricating bearings quick and easy. Just remove the plug on the grease cap, attach a grease gun to the zerk fitting on the end of the spindle, and inject the grease. It will flow easily to both inner and outer bearings. Not only does this make lubricating the bearings easy, but it also helps to prevent corrosion of the hub. This is because you can lubricate the bearings without the mess of taking apart the entire assembly.

Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: 8 on 6-1/2 means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: 5 on 4-1/2 means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance (D) from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

Good Job EtrailerI ordered 3 tire and rim packages with a couple of hubs for converting the modile home axle under my trailer to a normal lug hub. Just put them on tonight and hubs and tires spun centrally and were very smooth. The hubs were included in oversize boxes for the tires. The boxes were a little beat and the bearing kits were rubbing on the metal parts inside. Just a little more packageing would have prevented a little wearing on the small parts. Sorry guys, the tape just doesn't keep the parts in place to prevent damage. Good job E-trailer

by:

I am in Honduras but i brought a trailer from Texas. No parts here, but these folks filled my order promptly. Solved our problem!

by:

These hubs are great. I am currently running these with about 100,000 miles on them. Give them a little grease and travel worry free. Ordered a new set as backups. You can’t go wrong with etrailer.com either. Their customer service is among the best I have ever experienced, they will go the extra mile to get you the answers and products you need.

by:

Worked great - attached to spindle welded to hudson bros trailer axle

The hub and bearing combo I ordered came in pretty quick, and was a perfect fit, the races already being pressed in was a big time saver.

  • Will the Dexter Trailer Hub Assembly # 8-213-5UC1-EZ Fit Work on a Boat Trailer
The Dexter Trailer Hub Assembly # 8-213-5UC1-EZ would be an excellent choice for your boat trailer as long as the hub will fit on your spindle and the weight capacity is compatible with your trailers axle. There are also a few other factors that we will need to look at to determine if this is the correct hub for your trailer. This hub will perform just as well as a galvanized hub and this type of hub has been used on boat trailers for many years. The first factors to consider when looking...

Timbren does offer two 5200-lb-rated axle-less suspension systems that can be seen by clicking on the link provided. These accept either 6-on-5-1/2 idler hub # 8-213-5UC1-EZ or hub/drum assembly # 8-201-5UC3-EZ if your trailer will have brakes. Please note that these systems may require reinforcement of the trailer frame. These hubs' bolt pattern is slightly different than your Ford F-150's 6-bolt hubs. The two are not interchangeable and odds are that your wheels would not fit, or at...

You can absolutely use the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System - 4" Lift Spindle w/ Brake Flange - 5,200 lbs # TASR5200S03 on your 2013 Livin Lite Camper with an aluminum frame, but you'll need to put some sort of buffer between the Timbren system and the frameto prevent galvanic corrosion. Your best bet is going to be putting a thin rubber pad between the steel mount and the aluminum I-beam. The powder coat on the steel should keep the two dissimilar metals from galvanic corrosion,...

  • Info Needed to Install 6 Lug Bolt Pattern Hub on 2022 Aluma 7712HSLR
All we need to know is the axle capacity to see if we have a hub with the bolt pattern you need. Or if you can get me the diameter of the spindle where the bearings and seal rides that would be good too. Axle diameter can be used too. If it's 2-3/8 inch it's a 3,500 lb axle and the # CE13611 would fit and has correct bolt pattern. If it's 3 inch and between 5,200 and 7k the part # 8-213-5UC1-EZ would fit and be correct bolt pattern.

  • Will Dexter 5.2K Idler Hub Fit with Kodiak 12" Disc Brake Kit
Yes, the Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly # 8-213-5UC1-EZ is compatible with the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit # K2R526D. I actually don't think that the placement of your wheel/tire will be that much different than when you are using hub and drum assemblies. I went out to the warehouse and found that the idler hub measures 2.095" from the back of the hub to where the rotor will sit and the rotor is 0.3065" thick meaning that your wheel will mount about 2.4015" from where the back of the hub (or...

That would equate to using 2 sets of Timbren Axle-Less systems rated for 5,200 pounds for a total capacity of 10,400 pounds. We have a couple of options in this capacity: # ASR5200S01 has regular spindles; no rise or drop, and # ASR5200S04 has a 4 inch drop spindle meaning that it will lower the trailer by 4 inches. First, thanks for the kind words. We work hard to provide the best online experience in the industry. If the axle you have is a MOBILE home axle and not a motor home axle, then you will have to replace the axle. Mobile home axles are designed for one time use only and should not be reused. As a result of this one time use, there are very few replacement parts available. Now if it is an axle from a motor home then it is most likely a trailer axle and you will not need to replace it.
