Will Dexter 5.2K Idler Hub Fit with Kodiak 12" Disc Brake Kit

Question:
Is the idler assembly 8-213-5UC1-EZ compatible with this brake kit for 5200 lb Dexter EZ-Lube axles? When adding these brake rotors to the above idlers, naturally this will move each wheel outboard by the thickness of the mounting flange top of the rotor hat between the wheel and the idler hub. Could this be a problem with a travel trailer where the wheels/tires already sit relatively close to the fender skirts with the factory electric drum brakes? Specifically, my travel trailer is a 2010 V-Cross by Forest River 31V RLS.

Yes, the Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly # 8-213-5UC1-EZ is compatible with the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit # K2R526D. I actually don't think that the placement of your wheel/tire will be that much different than when you are using hub and drum assemblies. I went out to the warehouse and found that the idler hub measures 2.095" from the back of the hub to where the rotor will sit and the rotor is 0.3065" thick meaning that your wheel will mount about 2.4015" from where the back of the hub (or where that grease seal) sits.
You can take these measurements and compare them to where your wheel currently sits to ensure you have the proper wheel well clearance.
