Features to know about

Perfect Fit Every Time: Precision Grease Sealing

If you've ever faced the annoyance of leaky or poorly fitting seals, the TruRyde 10-10 Grease or Oil Double-Lip Seals are your solution. Boasting an inner diameter of 2.125 inches and an outer diameter of 3.376 inches, these precision-crafted seals are designed to snugly fit a range of axles, ensuring consistent performance and reducing the chances of leakage. These specs are particularly great for heavy-duty applications like 5,200, 6,000, and 7,000 LB axles, making them a must-have for serious work or travel trailers.

Extend the Life of Your Axles: Double-Lip Seal Technology

Double-lipped seals provide double the protection for your axles. By securely containing grease within the hub, they prevent contaminants from entering and wreaking havoc on your axles. This innovative design not only extends the life of your bearings but also means fewer maintenance headaches down the road. It's an investment that pays off in longevity and peace of mind for your trailer components.

Cross Compatibility Made Easy: Versatile Replacement Options

Transitioning from brands like National or Transcom? No problem. Part # RG06-090 is the replacement seal you need, compatible with a variety of existing parts, including Dexter, Chicago Rawhide, and TCM seals. The cross-reference compatibility means you can switch without second-guessing fit or function, streamlining the process of maintaining or upgrading your trailer hub assembly.

Maximize Performance with Exact Specification Fitting

When it comes to vehicle components, precision matters. These seals match OEM specs, providing a like-for-like replacement without compromise. Measured to exact standards, they offer an unbeatable fit, making them an optimal choice when performance and reliability are non-negotiable.

Leak-Free Assurance for Both Grease and Oil Systems

No more worrying whether your seals can handle the transition—these 10-10 seals work flawlessly in oil bath or grease applications. Ideal for trailers that require versatile solutions, this feature means you get uninterrupted service, regardless of your current or future needs.

Video Transcript for Hands-On with the 10-10 Grease or Oil Double-Lip Seals

Today were going to review part number RG06-090. This is the TruRyde trailer hub grease seals. This part number will contain two of the 10-10 grease seals. These are a double whip seal. And these are designed to be used with easy lube spindles and oil bath hubs that are used on 5200 pound axles, 6000 pound axles and 7000 pound axles. The overall diameter on this grease seal would measure 3.376.

The inner diameter right in here would measure 2.125. And if you also go to the product page on this part number we will list a seal cross-reference chart and what that chart will do is itll list the part number used for other grease seal manufacturers that will match this same part number so you can cross-reference if you have a part number thats different to see if it matches this one. And that should do it for a review on part number RG06-090.

Similar to the original except the original is solid and this is not. I expect it is just as effective as the original item which had been manufactured nearly 9 years ago.

Very quality product for the price!!! These double lip seals are 75% cheaper than the local parts store. Highly recommend these.

Received parts very quickly. Quality products. Very pleased. Had to replace pads due to easy lub system failure. Grease pumped in past seals and saturated pads was on and in everything. More cost effective to replace whole assembly. Assembly fit perfectly replacing lippert factory parts.

I was having a delema with my axle seals on my 5th wheel, couldn't figure out what size they were due to lack of numbers on them. The crew at Etrailer was, is fantastic, I gave them the measurements using a micrometer and they quickly got me the right seals, and fit like a glove. Thank you very much Etrailer staff!!

Seals installed well and are still fine a year later

by:

Excellent service and fast shipping. The grease seals are exactly what I needed for our travel trailer.

by:

Seals arrived 3 days of original estimated delivery, this was much appreciated since my boat is unusable while the trailer is being repaired. These seals are special and etrailer had them in stock. They fit my Dexter axles on my Pacific trailer which have a slightly smaller hub seal diameter than most of the other trailers. They are also designed to handle both grease and oil bath systems, I'm converting to oil bath.

Seals are still working fine in my oil bath system. I did a 2500 mile round trip a few months ago, no leaks.

I was having a terrible time locating seals for my trailer so I went back to my Canadian supplier (Hitchweb) and without hesitation they gave me the contact info for etrailer. The parts person was knowledgeable and committed to find seals for my trailer. Shipping was very quick and the seals are a perfect match, thank you. I will definitely use etrailer again. Randy

This is my third order from e-trailer and like the others I have been well pleased. I was having trouble finding these grease seals for my travel trailer but e-trailer had them in stock and at a reasonable price. I installed them and they fit perfectly. I would highly recommend this company.

The bearings and seals were an exact fit and worked as expected. Teresa J. is very knowledgeable and helped me figure out the right parts, even though I did not have axle data tags to work with. I highly recommend etrailer and will order from them if I need any parts in the future.

I installed, and adjusted the 4-items : AKHD-655-6K drum assembles without any problems.
Also glad I ordered the extra RG06-090 seals with 2.125 diameter because they turned out to be the correct ones.
I highly recommend etrailer parts to anyone looking for good quality products.

  • Parts to Convert 5-Spoke Utility Hub to Modern Style Hub on 10K Trailer
Thank you for reaching out! It looks like your Dexter Axle uses the 5 Spoke Utility Hub and Drum Assembly # 8-174-5UC3 so to replace that and your brakes you need the Easy Grease Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # AKHD-655-6-EZ-K as well as the 12" Self-Adjusting Electric Brakes # TRU96FR. These will be exact fits for your system but the hub and drum kit comes with a slightly larger grease seal so you need the Replacement Grease Seal Set # RG06-090 for each axle on your trailer. The HD-1206 number you found on your drum cross references to the Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly - 5,200-lb Axles - 6 on 5-1/2 # 8-201-5 which is a 12" x 2" drum with the 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern you mentioned but has wheel studs instead of holes for wheel bolts. The # 8-201-5 requires inner bearing # 25580, outer bearing # LM67048, grease seal # RG06-090, and grease cap # RG04-080 as these are not included. I included a video of the # 8-201-5 for you to take a look at.

  • Identifying Hub and Bearings for 2001 Prestige Trailer
Hi Jeff; I'm assuming you were able to identify the parts based on the axle tag or by pulling off the hubs and measuring. Did you verify that the grease seal had a 2.25" inner diameter? The # AKIHUB-655-6-EZ-K comes with a 2.25" ID grease seal, and that matches the # GS-2250DL you ordered as well. However, the same axle capacity can also use a 10-10 grease seal # RG06-090 with a 2.125" ID so I recommend double checking if you haven't just to be sure. Any big trips coming up with your boat?

  • How Tight Should Shackle Bolts/Nuts be on Trailer Suspension
Hey Robert, so shackle nuts don't need to be super tight as they are designed to allow the suspension to move. So the trick is to use lock nuts with nylock (you have them currently) and then tighten them down to about hand tight with a proper sized wrench/ratchet and then back it off 1/4 turn so that it can move like it needs to.

The difference between the 10-10 grease seals, # RG06-090, and the 10-36 grease seals, # RG06-070, is their inner diameter. The 10-10 grease seals fit older spindles with a seal journal (see photo) diameter of 2.125 inches. The 10-36 grease seals fit newer spindles with a seal journal of 2.250 inches. On 5,200 lb, 6,000 lb and 7,000 lb axles, manufacturers are no longer making spindles with a 2.125 inch seal journal, so they needed to come up with a seal that could fit the slightly larger...
