Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Sylvania LED replacement headlights. Now, right off the bat, you're gonna see the vast difference between our LED light from Sylvania and our factory halogen light that was just in our vehicle to begin with. This vehicle's, actually, my videographer, Tom's, he was having trouble seeing at night, didn't have great visibility, so he wanted to get some LED bulbs. But what we did in addition to that is we used the Sylvania headlight correction kit and fix the lenses on here first. So then we could really see the difference between the factory bulbs and these LEDs.
These lights are gonna be a factory replacement, so you just wanna find the same type of bulb like you typically would have in your local auto parts store. This particular bulb happens to be an H11, so that's the kit that we picked up. Back here on the back, you're gonna have aluminum lubers that help to dissipate some of the heat created by LEDs. That is one thing that about LEDs that halogen's really don't have. Halogen get warm, but LEDs, if they're stronger power like these, happen to get really, really warm.
So they need the, these little heat sinks on the back to keep it cool. This light also has a little fan on the back that spins at 10,000 RPMs to help keep this light even cooler when it's running. And when it comes to LEDs, a lot of people want to know the color temperature of them so they can match 'em to other lights on their vehicle or to pick the correct light that they like to see with. And this is going to have a 6,000 Kelvin temperature, so it's just gonna be that nice, pure, bright white. Now, specifically on our Mazda 3, in order to get this replacement light put in, we just have to come to the back of our headlight.
We've got our hood popped. We're going to twist it counterclockwise. Just wanna be sure if you got any wires caught on anything. Looks like ours is hung up a little bit here. Twist it, pull it out.
The nice thing about these lights is it is a direct factory replacement, so you don't have to do any changes or modifications like that. Just take it, we're gonna pop this little tab, pull this out, take our light. The difference between the factory bulb and this one is that our, this connector is going to be kind of like a remote style connector instead of directly into the back of the bulb 'cause we have these little fans and we'll just take it and pop it back in place. Okay so hopefully this video helped you decide whether or not the Sylvania LED replacement headlight is right for you and your vehicle.
