People install these on similar surfaces pretty frequently without issue. You'd just have to be careful installing it.   The Redline 2-Way Pop-Up Roof Vent, # 9106-2756, can be placed anywhere you want on your trailer. A few things to keep in mind are where the air flow needs to be and the elements (rain). To open/close the vent you will push or pull the steel handle inside to one side or the other. It can be hard to do when it is not installed and when new.   For your small tear trailer I recommend a small, round 12 volt vent/fan, # VP-543SP. You may not have to move the light, it will limit the hole size needed, and the curved roof won't be a problem.   I went and pulled a trailer roof vent # 9106-2756 from the warehouse. I used a magnet to check to see if it was steel and the magnet immediately stuck. This is not a fool-proof way to determine material but given the other characteristics of the vent, the black powder coat, that is a strong indication that it is steel.
