I purchased this hitch for my Toyota Yaris to haul my bikes and my kayak. I previously purchased a hitch for my Honda fit and it was perfect but this one for my Toyota isn’t compatible with my bike rack or my hitch adapter. I called customer service to ask why it not compatible, the representative suggested I purchase a $100+ adapter but no discount and that my bike rack is most likely the wrong length, and I assured him that the bike rack is a popular brand and I have no issues with it on my Honda.i included pictures of my bike rack and hitch adapter on both my Honda and my Toyota. I wish I had known prior to purchasing the rack that this hitch needs an additional adapter that I believe still will not fit the needs. I’m baffled why you would sell a product that absolutely doesn’t work for what I need. Silver car is the fit, red car the Toyota

2007 Toyota Yaris

Have a 2007 Toyota Yaris, 4dr sedan, information was unclear if hitch would fit, website only says hatchback, but fit perfectly, added a drop of Loctite on each bolt for assembly. Had to temporarily pull off a exhaust hanger and loosen rear bumper for install ~15 minutes.

2007 Toyota Yaris

Super easy install, 20 minutes start to finish. Would definitely recommend etrailer products again and again!! Direct bolt on, no drilling required. This will enable us to use the bike carrier on our Yaris Hatchback. Thanks for a great product.

Overall great product and easy install. Item came packaged very securely. Took about 15minutes total. Only thing I had to do extra was bend one of the metal tabs holding one of the bumper supports. The fit and finish of the product was great. Didn't have any issues bolting right on to the frame. Havent had time to test it out on the road.

Toyota Camry

I only use it for my cargo rack and it helped to make more space inside my Yaris hatchback for my other camping equipment that needs a little more protection.
In the future I’m hoping I can use the hitch to haul an aluminum alloy kayak trailer and kayak. This is the second Curt trailer hitch I’ve owned. The other one was used on my Camry to haul a small utility trailer.

2015 Toyota Yaris

The hitch receiver bracket fits okay to the new 2015 3-door Yaris. Once installed, there is a recess about 4" long between the .5" pin hole to the back of the bumper. For my application of cargo carrier that comes with a 2x2" square tubing, I had to spend a lot of time to find a right and special 1.25-to-2.00 conversion adapter with 2.5" riser with about 4.25" axial offset.

It would be nice and greatly easier if the manufacture of this hitch receiver bracket can extend the solid 1.24" square out by 4 to 4.5".

I ordered this trailer hitch, a ball mount, and a hitch ball. Half an hour later I got a call from eTrailer telling me that the ball mount and hitch ball I ordered would not fit the trailer hitch I chose. They switched the ball mount and hitch ball to the right sizes for no additional fee. The package arrived right on time, and installation was a breeze. Thanks, eTrailer!

2012 Toyota Yaris

The trailer hitch package for my 2012 Toyota Yaris from you fit perfect and looks good. It is unlikely anyone will even notice it, (without the receiver and ball attached) unless I point it out to them. I have not towed anything yet, but I am confident it will work great. I will use it for my small boat. Right now it is just to hot to go boating, with no shade.

Bought this for my 2016 Yaris 5 door hatch LE. You need to cut 3 of the bumper supports and remove a thin metal tab for this to be installed correctly. Hitch sits very close to reverse light but it works.

2015 Toyota Yaris

Installed this and a hitch today on my 2015 Yaris. The bike rack took about an hour for two of us to install, but we could have done it with one person. The instructions could have been a little clearer, but over all installation was alright.

I dislike that it wiggles from side to side. We spent awhile trouble shooting this until we saw some videos online and it seems as though that wiggling is normal. I might ask customer service if there's something we can buy and install in order to eliminate the wiggle. The wiggle is my only complaint.

Overall, the rack is good because the bikes don't budge at all. They are very secure, and that's what matters. I bought this version with the tire racks in the hopes it'd make it easier to load the bikes. It's definitely easy to load them. We're talking minutes, with no learning curve. Worth it!

I'm not sure which exact hitch you have or which one you're looking at, but the fits will be the same between the 2006 and 2007 model year Yaris, as there weren't any significant changes between the two models to require different trailer hitches. I checked with Draw-Tite and the item # 24911 only fits the hatchback or liftback models. There are no hitches for the 2012 Toyota Yaris sedan. The only other option for the 2012 Yaris is the Curt item # C11480 which also exclusively fits the hatchbacks.
