Question:

Im thinking of installing the Maxxair Deluxe with remote on my dog topper box which is aluminum. It is non insulated thus the roof material is aluminum sheet. Will the fan/bracket on inside mount flush to the aluminum or will it hang? Just curious is its only designed for an insulated type thickness. Thx

I do have an option for you but we do not have any roof vents with 12 volt fans that would install on just a single piece of aluminum like what is on your dog box. The MaxxFan Plus Roof Vent part # MA00-04500K is designed for roofs between 2" - 6-1/2" thick so the interior bracket would more than likely have nothing to attach to.

Instead, of a powered vent I recommend using the Redline 2-Way Pop-Up Roof Vent part # 9106-2756 which will install flush on the aluminum and will not require any insulation or extra material. It comes with a gasket to prevent leaks and screen to keep out insects.

The overall dimensions are 13-1/2" long x 8" wide x 3-1/2" tall. I have attached a review video for you.
