The Redline 2-Way Pop-Up Roof Vent, # 9106-2756, can be placed anywhere you want on your trailer. A few things to keep in mind are where the air flow needs to be and the elements (rain).
To open/close the vent you will push or pull the steel handle inside to one side or the other. It can be hard to do when it is not installed and when new. A little spray lubricant can help it until it is broken in. I have linked a video of a similar vent with a different finish that shows it opening.
