When you’re loading up kayaks, canoes, or a full cargo box, you want bars that won’t flex or feel flimsy. The Yakima BaseLine Roof Rack uses sturdy aluminum JetStream crossbars with a 165-lb weight capacity. The solid build gives you confidence when hauling heavy gear and keeps everything steady on long drives.
Wind noise can turn a peaceful trip into a headache. These aero-style crossbars are shaped to cut through the air, reducing drag and noise. The push-down rubber strips in the top channels seal the gaps to limit whistling and vibration, so you can enjoy the drive without constant background hum.
Mounting accessories doesn’t have to mean cutting strips or fighting with loose rubber. The JetStream’s top channels use push-down strips that let you press hardware directly into place—no trimming needed. It’s a clean, straightforward setup that keeps your rack sealed against wind and weather while saving you time during installation.
Whether it’s a kayak for the weekend, bikes for the trail, or a cargo box for road trips, these bars are compatible with most universal cargo, water, snow, and bike carriers. You can use both channel-mount and clamp-around attachments, so your existing gear fits right in without extra adapters.
You can secure the setup by adding Yakima Same Key System (SKS) lock cores, sold separately. They help deter theft of the rack when your vehicle is parked overnight or at a remote put-in spot, keeping your investment safe until the next trip.

Tghe racks have remained on since I installed them correctly, no thanks to your video. I read the manual it came with.
