Installation of Yakima Roof Rack on 2013 Nissan Altima

Question:

Whats the best weather to install them? Has to be when the weather is hot? Im installing on a 2013 Nissan Altima Did in the winter but had to take them off because car got all frozen inside

Installing the Yakima JetStream roof rack on your 2013 4-door Nissan Altima does not require the weather to be a certain temperature and there should be no interference with your door putting the rack on. The accompanying photo shows how the clamps will look when installed properly and your door should shut completely.

This rack is made up of:

- Yakima JetStream Crossbars # Y00425
- BaseLine Towers for Yakima Crossbars # Y28TR
- BaseClip Fit Kit for Yakima BaseLine Roof Rack Towers # Y06127 AND # Y06137

The installation requires the towers to be at a specific angle and pitch, as per the linked instructions. If this is off then there may be an issue with the fit of how the clamps grip your Altima's door. If you take a look at the linked videos, even though they are not specifically on an Altima, they are a good example of the clips being installed.
