Recommend Roof Rack and Roof Mounted Tandem Bike Rack for 2001 Honda Accord

I need a rack to carry a tandem bike on a 2001 honda accord. I also need to use the same rack for a mountain bike.

I do have a solution for you to carry a tandem bicycle on your 2001 Honda Accord, but the item you selected, Yakima ForkLift Roof Bike Rack # Y02098, is not designed for tandem bicycles.

First, if you do not already have a roof rack on your Accord you will need to install one. If you have the 4-door model, I recommend the Yakima Roof Rack: # Y00408, # Y28TR, and # Y03536. In addition you need parts # Y06159 and # Y06143 if your Accord is the 4-door model or parts # Y06123 and # Y06170 if it's a 2-door.

Then, you will be able to mount the Thule Tandem Roof Mounted Bike Rack, part # TH558P. This rack has a tray length of 75 inches and will mount to the Yakima crossbars.

You will need an additional roof bike rack to mount your other bike. You can use the item you selected, Yakima Roof Bike Rack # Y02098, for your mountain bike.
