Hello neighbors, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at this Rhino-Rack cable core lockdown. Now folks, this is made from a nice hard plastic sheath steel with intertwined cords inside. So the cable core itself and lockdown can be used to secure your gear to your Rhino-Rack platforms. So I'll pop an image up here on the screen. This is strictly just an example.
So you've got your Rhino-Rack pioneer platform there, it looks like, and you got all your gear on top. Well, with this cable core lock, you can actually loop this cable core through the handles or through the wheel there, or through the propane tank top, anywhere where you've got an access hole or a point that you could slide this through, and then you could simply lock this in place. Now it is master key compatible, but at this point it comes with one key, and this particular guy is key 2 0 0 1. It does include the new patent, hit wire lock channel nuts that allow a lock to be placed anywhere within that system without moving other accessories. So how this works is you've got this, those wire lock nut, channel nut, and what it does is whenever you're put in the channel and you actually tighten this screw here, this will actually spin when it's getting tight and it'll lock in place by itself and then it can't pull out.
So this would go in first, then this guy and that would go over like that. And then this big hard plastic piece that encase the lock core itself. So you tighten all that down. This square nut here is for the vortex blades. So that's only used if you're putting it inside the Vortex Rhino-Rack, crossbar blades.
So you got the plastic piece here, you've looped this through, whatever you want to lock up, you've gotta loop through and you simply slide this down into place and then once you've locked it, that will not come out. So it's that simple, folks. Then when you wanna unlock it, simply insert the key, unlock it, and it pops right out. Very, very simple operation. And then you could just unslide the cable out of your product that you had tied down, locked down, and then you'd be ready to go.
Now again, this key lockable housing here is a hard plastic with that core inside the cable is 1.2 meters long and you get this and all the bracket and the install wrench here as well. Well folks, that's gonna wrap it up for our look at this Rhino-Rack cable core lockdown. I'm Steven, thanks so much for watching and have a great day.
