The Yakima OutPost HD Overland Truck Bed Rack is made to handle real work and real adventures. This rack isn’t just for smooth highways. Yakima put the OutPost HD through off-road testing that included evasive maneuvers, swerves, and rough trail conditions to make sure it exceeded ISO standards. The result is a rack that stays secure over speed bumps and rocky trails alike. With an 800 lb static load rating, it’s also built to support rooftop tents and sleepers when you’re parked under the stars.
The QuickChange system and BedGrip clamps make setup simple. It secures to most common truck bed rails with no drilling required, and you can remove the rack in minutes when you need an open bed. Etched measurements on the crossbars make centering easy. Built-in tie-down points on the uprights and crossbar endcaps give you quick anchor spots for cargo straps or ropes.
Both the inside and outside of the uprights have channels for accessories like eye bolts, paddle holders, or off-road lights. The 68" crossbars feature T-slots along the top and bottom for channel-mounted or clamp-on gear such as bike racks, cargo boxes, and kayak carriers. Rubberized strips in the top channels reduce wind noise and drag while protecting gear from metal-to-metal contact.
Made from sturdy aluminum with a black powder-coated finish, the OutPost HD resists rust and corrosion from rain, snow, and road salt. At just 50 lbs total rack weight, it’s tough without being cumbersome. The same key system lock cores secure the uprights to your truck, and the signature built-in bottle openers are ready when the day’s work or adventure is done.

This rack is short. The one you would probably like that goes to the top of the cab is Item # 3371501680.

Still loving the Yakima Outpost Bed Rack. The main thing I love about it, I don’t have to worry about it. I use it a a rack for my RTT with no issues. Install and walk away.
