Hey Byron, thanks for reaching out!
Your 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 will only be able to handle the Yakima SkyRise SL Tent # Y42QD if you mount it to a bed rack or a truck topper rack. The standard roof racks that fit your Silverado use clamps to secure to the truck, and Yakima states not to use their roof tent with those types of roof racks.
I recommend using one of the following racks depending on what kind of height you're wanting to have the tent at:
- BedRock # Y01160-59
- OutPost # Y01152-58
- OverHaul # Y01151-58
The OverHaul is my recommendation just because it free up more bedspace for other cargo, but the OutPost and BedRock have their place and purpose as well.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
