Rack System Recommendation for 2020 Ford F-250 with RetraxPRO XR Hard Tonneau Cover

Question:

Rack system for 2020 F250 short bed with Retrax pro xr cover. I would like to see what options I have that will fit my truck and do what I need it to do. I would like a removeable or adjustable tall rack so I can carry my kayaks and tow the travel trailer at the same time. I also would like a small rack to put a basket for added storage or to put a generator on it while traveling. I do not want to modifications so they all need to able to fit the T slot system on the bed cover already. The tall racks will only be on while carrying kayaks and taken off while not in use. The small rack with basket will be on all the time.

I definitely have some options to fit with the RetraxPRO XR Hard Tonneau Cover # RTT-80383 on your 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty with the short bed.

For an adjustable ladder rack that fits directly into the rails on the tonneau I recommend the Yakima OverHaul HD which you can get with 68" wide bars as part # Y01151-5855 or with 78" bars as part # Y01151-5955. The crossbar height can be adjusted from 19" - 30" above your truck bed rails so you get the best fit for your application. I actually was able to fit the standard version on a 2020 F-250 so I'm linking that video for you to check out.

Then if that 19" height is still a little too high for your liking you can use the OutPost HD which also comes with 68" # Y01152-58 or 78" # Y01152-59 crossbars and it sits lower at 13" above the bed rails. The best thing is that this will fit in the adapters that come with the OverHaul HD I mentioned above so it's pretty simple to swap out the taller system for the shorter system. I actually made a video on this for the 2020 F-250 as well so I'm linking that for you to check out too.
