The Thule TracRac Contractor Truck Bed Ladder Rack mounts along the side of the bed instead of across it, so you don’t lose access to your full bed space. That makes it easier to haul long materials like ladders, pipe, or lumber while still being able to reach tools or load other gear. The rack can be mounted on either the driver’s or passenger’s side, giving you flexibility for your setup.
The telescoping arms adjust from 22" long to 37" long, so you can dial in the spacing to fit everything from narrow step ladders to wide planks. Once set, the welded 14-gauge steel arms hold solid, keeping your load stable even over rough roads. The over-cab height design provides plenty of clearance for tall materials without interfering with your bed cargo.
This rack carries up to 250 lbs, giving you dependable strength for daily hauling. It’s made from 1-1/2" square tubing and 14-gauge steel, so it holds up to heavy use on job sites or weekend projects. The fixed rack design keeps everything sturdy once installed, with no flex or movement under load.
A zinc coating sits under the black powder coat finish to resist rust and corrosion from rain, salt, and road grime. The finish also helps prevent scratches from tools or materials sliding in and out, keeping the rack looking clean even after years of use.
The rack installs by drilling into the bed rails and floor using the included 5/16" bolts and hardware. This solid mount setup ensures the rack can handle its full 250-lb capacity without shifting. Didn't fit my truck waste of time and m oney
Installed on a 2025 Silverado WT 8' bed.
eTrailer had some helpful info, but Thule could have had some better dimensions. The truck has some tall bed walls, and some other racks were not tall enough. This one worked well. I sketched and dimensioned the parts.
I also cut the main tube off 4" so now the bottom of the horizonal tube is 45-1/4" from the bed.

You mentioned that the rack did not fit and I wanted to ask a few questions. How did it not fit? Does your truck have an over-the-rail bed liners, tonneau covers, or factory-installed tracks.
