Is the Yakima Bedrock HD System Compatible with Yakima Jetstream Bars

Updated 03/03/2025 | Published 01/29/2020

Question:

Can Yakima Bedrock HD System be paired with Yakima Jetstream bars. Already own 60 inch Jetstream bars. New truck would need BedRock HD system for the bed. Can the Jetstream which features the STREAMLINE system Same as HD Bar. It looks like they recommend HD bar for trucks but this will only be holding some bikes. No offroading. Thanks

I might have a solution for you, but the Yakima Bedrock HD System # Y01160-58 are only compatible with the Yakima HD bars like the # Y01157. The Yakima Bedrock HD, Overhaul HD # Y01151-58 and Outpost HD # Y01152-58 systems are all only compatible with Yakima HD bars and there are no adapters available for the footpacks on the HD systems to allow for the attachment of other styles of bars.

If you can let me know what kind of truck you have, I might be able to locate a truck bed rack system that will allow you to re-use your existing 60" Yakima Jetstream bars on a system to carry your bikes.

Not sure if this is still an open question, but I have the same issue. I have jetstream bars, and want to install them on the bed of my truck (hopefully using something like the BedRock HD system, but I'm open to anything at this point). Truck is a 2017 F150 Lariat, with a 67'' bed. Thanks in advance!

@NateC This is still an open question, but unfortunately it doesn't look like anything has changed with the BedRock HD system to allow it to work with the JetStream crossbars, and Yakima doesn't currently have a way to utilize the JetStream bars for a truck bed crossbar system. I recommend selling the crossbars and using that money to put towards the BedRock HD System # Y01160-59 since it comes as a whole kit.

@JonG That's a good point, and a really good idea. The stubborn part of me still wants to squeeze this round peg into a square hole, but I'll definitely take a closer look at that Bedrock HD System (I hadn't seen it before now).

@DarkousD As far as I'm concerned this is still an un open question, so there isn't a solution unfortunately.
