This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your RV or trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change the flat for you. You can call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year from anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico.
This tire has a 1-year No Excuses Guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way that's not covered by warranty, it will be replaced at no charge. You will also be compensated a flat labor rate for the cost of mounting the replacement tire.
This aluminum wheel comes with steel inserts in the lug nut wells. The inserts are pressed into the aluminum, and they help prevent the holes from wearing down over time. This ensures that the wheel stays secured to your trailer hub and that you won't have to constantly retorque the lug nuts.
This radial ply tire from Westlake is constructed with double steel belts and double polyester cords for increased durability. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation.
The standard tread on this tire has solid, continuous ribs, and there are very few sipes (or thin grooves) cut into the rubber. This tire is designed for use on trailers, so it doesn't require the level of traction that would be needed on a vehicle that is braking or steering.
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Westlake ST205/75R14 radial trailer tire in a load range D, and it's mounted on this 14 inch glossy black Eagle aluminum wheel. Has a five on 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now this tire and wheel assembly is ideal for RVs, campers, and trailers. The wheel is an aluminum wheel. It's very durable, lightweight, and rustproof.
And it is the Eagle series, which we mentioned. It's a split five spoke design. You can see has a glossy black finish and then they do a machine face as you can see right on the edges of the spokes. And that machine face gives a nice shine to the wheel. They do use an automotive grade clear coat finish on the front to help protect the wheel from scuffs and scratches.
Now one of the nice features I like on this wheel is in the lug nut wells. They insert these steel inserts, and that's designed to help keep the wheel securely in place on your trailer hub. Basically what happens is you install this over the wheel studs, put your lug nuts on and torque them down, and those inserts will prevent the holes from wearing down or elongating. So it eliminates the need for constant re-tightening of your lug nuts. Now the wheel itself, the diameter is 14 inches.
The width on just the wheel is five inches wide. We mentioned the bolt pattern of five on 4 1/2 inches. And if you wanna measure that on a wheel like this that's an odd number of lugs, what you'll wanna do is you'd pick any one of the holes, let's say this one right here, and then you're gonna measure across to either this hole or that hole, either one. But when you measure, it's from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of whatever hole you measure to. So on this one, it'll measure 4 1/2 inches, so it's a five on 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern.
Does use a wheel lug size of 1/2 inch by 20. Weight capacity on just the wheel is 2,200 pounds. Now if you notice, this wheel does not come with a center cap. If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separately on our website. You do wanna make sure to get one that'll have the same diameter as this pilot hole right here 'cause when you install your center cap, it will go through this hole. The diameter on this pilot hole is 3.19 inches. Now the tire is a Westlake radial tire. It's constructed with double steel belts, double polyester plies. They do use a nylon tread firming belt overlay to help prevent tread separation. And it is a radial ply tire, so it is great for highway use. It is an ST tire, which means special trailer tire. Has the sturdy sidewall so that it can handle heavy loads, and it is created specifically for trailers, not intended for use on other vehicles. Now the tire size, it'll be stamped on the sidewall, right here, ST, for special trailer, 205/75R14. R means that it's a radial tire. Section width, eight inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top when it's inflated is 26.1. We mentioned this tire is a load range D, which means it's an eight ply rated tire. So the maximum load capacity is 2,040 pounds at 65 PSI. Now this assembly does meet the DOT Department of Transportation specifications, and this tire does come with a speed rating, and it is also stamped on the sidewall, but it is a letter designation. And where you'll find that is right after the tire size, you'll see two numbers and then the letter L. Speed rating L will mean 75 mile per hour speed rating. And they do offer complimentary roadside assistance for two years and flat tire services available 24/7 anywhere in the US, Canada, or Puerto Rico. But that should do it for our look at the Westlake ST205/75R14 radial trailer tire in the load range D, mounted on this 14 inch glossy black Eagle aluminum wheel with a five on 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern.
