It's designed to keep your fifth wheels ride height and weight balance just right, and it installs with the included hardware. At about 175 lbs, it's a two-person lift, so grab a buddy or a hoist to make the job easier.

Although this pin box can tow up to 24,000 lbs, the internal rubber shear spring is optimized for trailers that range from 18,000 lbs +. A rubber spring built for 24,000 lbs trailers would be too stiff to provide any cushion for an 18,000 lb trailer, while a rubber spring built for 18,000 trailers would be too flexible for a 24,000 lbs trailer. To get the best results from this cushioned pin box, the sweet spot is a trailer in the 18,000 lbs + range.

As you lower your trailer onto the gooseneck ball, the spring-loaded coupler clicks into place and locks down tight, so you don't have to latch it by hand or wonder if it's secure.
