Video Transcript for B and W Hitch Ball - Gooseneck Hitch Ball - BWGNXA4585 Review

Today were going to review Part# BWGNXA4585. This is the B&W 4-inch offset ball for the B&W turnover gooseneck trailer hitch, Part# BWGNRK1257.This offset ball will move your pivot point of your trailer 4 inches rearward to provide additional cab clearance. It is designed to work exclusively with the B&W turnover gooseneck trailer hitch, Part# BWGNRK1257. This has the square ball base which will prevent the ball from turning in the hitch during hookup. Its made of a sturdy steel construction. The part is made in the USA.

The ball size on it is 2-5/16th in diameter. Again, the offset is 4 inches so its measured from the center of the square base to the center of where the ball is. If we put a ruler on this, just to give you an idea of the 4-inch that youll be gaining center to center, this will provide additional cab clearance for you.It does have a weight capacity of 20,000 pounds. It has a vertical load limit or pin weight capacity of 5,000 pounds. What I want to do here is Im going to rotate the table here. What I ended up doing as I pulled that turnover ball gooseneck hitch Part #BWGNRK1257, I have it right here, the hitch head just to give you an idea of what it looks like.

You pull out the ball that comes with it. You can see it has a square opening. All you have to do, if this will be the rear of your truck bed and this is will be where the truck cab is, what you do is you drop this in that square opening. Once it drops in, you can see it moves that ball from this hitch another 4 inches rearward that provides your additional clearance. Its very easy to do.

Then, you just release your handle and the pin would lock this adaptor into place. That should do it for the review on Part# BWGNXA4585, the B&W 4-inch offset ball for the B&W turnover gooseneck trailer hitch, Part# BWGNRK1257. .

The hitch was perfect. I did have it installed by my local RV team. They did an awesome job for about $450. Not too bad, and give me a level of comfort I needed to tow my horses in the 5th wheel horse trailer. E-trailer filled my order efficiently, expeditiously and all the relevant information was readily available on the web page. Thanks! 112266

I have a Tundra CrewMax with a super short bed and this ball was the key for safe towing of my goose neck trailer. It gave me the extra 4 inches of clearance so I could make tight corners without worrying about hitting the cab with the trailer. Great product. 208044

Ask the Experts about this B and W Trailer Hitch Ball

  • Can the 4 Inch Offset Ball for B&W Turnoverball Be Used With the Anderson Ultimate
For starters, the correct 4" Offset Ball for B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Trailer Hitches that is needed to use on a Dodge Ram 2500/3500 is part # BWGNXA4085 or part # BWGNXA4685 for a Dodge Ram 1500, not part # BWGNXA4585 which is for a Toyota Tundra. That said, you can use this with your Anderson Ultimate 5th Wheel to Gooseneck but since the hitch ball will add height you will need to make adjustments to your coupler accordingly.

If you have the B&W Gooseneck Hitch # BWGNRK1257 on a Toyota Tundra then you can use the 4" Offset Ball # BWGNXA4585 to give yourself some more clearance. B&W also has the 4" Offset Ball # BWGNXA4085 which is more of a standard option if you don't have a Tundra. • Recommended Offset Ball for B&W Gooseneck Trailer Hitch
I do have a solution for you, however the Draw-Tite 5" Offset Ball # 19308 mentioned in your question is not compatible with B&W gooseneck hitches. There a few compatible offset balls for your B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch, depending on the specific model that you have. To ensure you get the correct one, you just want to take a measurement from the locking pin hole to the bottom of the square base on your hitch ball. I have included an image that shows where you want to take this measurement....

  • Will A Curt Offset Gooseneck Ball Fit Into A B&W Gooseneck Hitch
I called my contact at Curt Manufacturing and they confirmed that the Curt 4" Offset Ball for Double-Lock Gooseneck Hitch part # C602 will not fit into the gooseneck ball location on a B&W gooseneck hitch such as the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch part # BWGNRK1012. This is due to the fact that the Curt ball mounts for gooseneck hitches are circular in shape whereas the ball mounts for B&W gooseneck hitches are square. In order to gain a 4" offset with the B&W gooseneck...

  • Difference Between the Three Different B and W Offset Gooseneck Ball Adapters
The three B and W Offset Gooseneck Balls are designed for three different applications. • Gooseneck Hitch Recommendation for 2013 Toyota Tundra with 5-1/2 foot Bed
For your 2013 Toyota Tundra with a 5-1/2 foot bed the best option will be the B and W Gooseneck hitch part # BWGNRK1257 with the 4 inch extender part # BWGNXA4585. The extension won't help much, but if your trailer has a very narrow nose like a livestock trailer this would be best shot. If the trailer has living quarters and a wide nose you really won't have a way to do it.

According to pages 167-169 of the online owner's manual for your 2017 Toyota Tundra Crewmax 5.7L V8 the most trailer weight this truck can tow is 10,100-lbs.
