Question:
I was talking to a Morryde rep. He informed me that the hitch I needed for my Grand Design Solitude 417KB with the Rhino frame is the RGN74-FD-06. Could you cross check that model number with the number from your company? Thank you

Thanks for letting us help Stephen. The MORryde GooseTech part number you referenced corresponds to our MORryde GooseTech Pin Box for 18K+ Trailers # MR24MV. As long as you've confirmed that your existing pin box is a Lippert Rhino, this will be the correct GooseTech replacement. Matching the original pin box model is important because it ensures the mounting bolt patterns are the same, making the installation as straightforward as possible. As far as weight capacity goes, the # MR24MV is also a great match for your Grand Design Solitude 417KB, which has a listed GVWR of 19,000 lbs. The internal rubber shear springs in the # MR24MV are specifically designed for fifth wheels with a GVWR above 18,000 lbs . This ensures the cushioning system is appropriately matched to the weight of your trailer for the best ride quality.
The MORryde GooseTech # MR84MV you were looking at uses the same Lippert Rhino mounting pattern, but its rubber shear springs are optimized for trailers weighing 14,000 to 18,000 lbs. Since your Solitude exceeds that range, I'd definitely recommend the # MR24MV instead.
You'll also need the Safety Chains for MORryde GooseTech with Clevis Hooks # MR23MV. Unlike a traditional fifth wheel hitch and king pin connection, a gooseneck setup requires safety chains.
Congratulations on the new truck. Does your Ford F450 have the factory OEM puck system, and do you already have a gooseneck ball and safety chain loops?
