Hey Paul, thanks for reaching out. The MORryde GooseTech 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box is designed to match the height and length profile of the original pin box it replaces, so the overall dimension from the top of the pin box housing down to the gooseneck connection point will line up very closely with your factory setup. For example, the # MR24MV you were looking at is a direct replacement for the Lippert Rhino pin box, so its mounting height and coupler drop will mirror that same Rhino profile.

We just need to pinpoint exactly which pin box is on your camper currently. There should be a sticker on it with the serial number and model number or a four-digit Lippert number. Or if it is the Lippert Rhino I mentioned above, that will usually be pretty clear from just looking at the decal. Get me that info from your current pin box and I am happy to look into it and make sure you get the right GooseTech.

Hey Paul, were you able to find the model number on your current pin box for the Grand Design 318M? Once you have that info, I can confirm the right GooseTech fit for your setup. Let me know what you find so we can make sure everything lines up correctly.

Jesse: I have basically the same setup as noted above, except my F350 has airbags. Will this MoRyde Goosetech, MR84MV that has a rubber shear spring , compete with my airbags and cause towing issues? Sounds like I won't have clearance issues? Any turning radius issues you think? My truck also has a roll top cover which make the bed of my pickup like 5 and 1/2.

@Christopher Hey Christopher. The MoRyde Goosetech pin box # MR84MV can work fine with air bag suspension. The two systems will be totally fine together and will complement each other nicely. Turning clearance is typically not an issue but each truck and trailer combo is different so you will definitely want to gauge that and make sure you are clear on turns and clear of your tonneau cover once you have everything set up. A lot of newer campers have a curved nose that helps with clearance on short bed trucks and typically the roll-up covers don't take up too much space in the bed.
