Video Transcript for Comprehensive Review: 16-14 Gauge Butt Connector

Today we're going to take a look at the five pack of 16 to 14 gauge butt connectors. These vinyl insulated blue butt connectors have a wire range of 16 to 14 gauge. The wire gauge, you can see it fits, is actually stamped on here. They do use chamfered barrel ends in the inside to allow fast and easy wire insertion from both ends. The very middle has a built in wire stop for accurate positioning of the wires and these must be crimped at the ends for a good insulated connection, and this part comes as a quantity of five. But, that should do it for the review on the five pack of the 16 to 14 gauge butt connectors..

What can I say? they work and are inexpensive. I had to find something to add to my order to get from 149.90 to go over the 150.00 to get free shipping, and if you own a trailer, it's always a good idea to have these in your toolbox!

While we dont have butt connectors designed to be water tight, we do have heat-shrink butt connectors like part # DW05744-5 as well as primary wire heat shrink tubing # DW05451. The heat shrink design is intended to help keep as much water as possible out of the wiring connection.

Wanted to upgrade my trailer to LED tail lights during an overhaul an new flooring. After stopping at 4 auto supply stores that carried the brand I wanted but only stocked the most expensive ones the company offered, I went to etrailer an stopped wasting my time.
Exactly what I wanted. Priced honestly, and delivered quickly.
Won't waste the time & gas next time. Just come back to etrailer an be completely satisfied.

I ordered a Ventline Vanair RV vent fan. It arrived on time and in good shape. I believe I paid a fair price for this item. I have not yet installed the fan, but have no reason to suspect it will not be the exact replacement for the defective one in my Airstream. I also purchased the butt connectors to hook up the fan during installation.

  • Installation of Optronics Sealed, 6-1/2 Inch Oval LED Trailer Stop, Turn, and Tail Light
Thank you for your purchase from etrailer.com! The Optronics Sealed, 6-1/2 Inch Oval LED Trailer Stop, Turn, and Taillight # STL78RB that you purchased will need to be hardwire installed on your trailer. You will want to connect the light to your trailer's wiring by function. You can use a circuit tester, like # PTW2993, to determine the functions of your trailer wiring. The white wire on the light will need to be grounded. I recommend running the light ground back to the main trailer...

  • Recommended Hitch for 5th Wheel Trailer to Tow Small Trailer with 4 Wheelers
It sounds like you've got 70" between the two side frame stanchions on your trailer, so the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs, 22" to 72" Wide # 13703 you were looking at is going to be the best solution. This hitch will work on box frame, C-channel frame, or I-beam frame trailers. If your trailer doesn't have a trailer connector on the rear you'll also need to add that. The best solution is to use Bonded 4-wire # 16-4B-1 , which is sold by the foot and the Tekonsha 4 Pole...

In order to have a plug and play brake controller, your 2015 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk would have to have the factory tow package and factory trailer connector. • Recommendation to Replace Trailer 5-Way That Has 9 Wires
It sounds like the current 5-Way connector on your trailer has a type of wishbone wiring design, which uses separate wires for the signal lights on both sides of the trailer. Most likely yours has a separate wire going down each side of the trailer for the running lights, brake lights, and reverse light functions. I highly recommend following the wiring from the connector on your trailer and testing them for function to verify this. We do not have any 5-Way connectors available with a...

The Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR48SR has four wires coming out of the back of it; one white wire for your ground, one black wire for your 12v power, and two blue wires that will communicate with your thermostat. You can test your old wiring from your previous water heater with a digital multimeter # PT89ZR to determine which is your power and which is your ground on your trailer's wiring. The Furrion has many of the same features and some updated features as well. Also, I feel the Furrion brand is superior in quality and customer service. There is not a radio with an exact match for the wiring harness that came on the Elite, however, changing the wiring is a simple process. All the connections...

  • Wire Recommendation for Rewiring Utility Trailer with Brakes
For the brake circuit of your trailer you will want to run 10 gauge wire like our part # 10-1-1 which is sold by the foot and is standard copper primary wire. We use it all the time here on trailers and it works great. For bonded 14 gauge wire that has 4 wires bundled you would want the part # DW04923-1 which is also sold by the foot. A lot of times people use junction boxes like the part # 38656 to organize the wires on the trailer. Check out the install video I attached for more info...

You'll also want to pick up some butt connectors # 05731-5 for a secure connection when hooking up the wiring.
