Recommendation to Replace Trailer 5-Way That Has 9 Wires
Question:
I need to replace the male plug on my 2014 Ranger trail trailer. My trailer has reverse lights and Surge brakes. I need to replace the Connector with for mail pans and one female receptacle. The one I have has nine wires. Can you help me find a similar product? I will send a picture. Any help would be much much appreciated.

It sounds like the current 5-Way connector on your trailer has a type of wishbone wiring design, which uses separate wires for the signal lights on both sides of the trailer. Most likely yours has a separate wire going down each side of the trailer for the running lights, brake lights, and reverse light functions. I highly recommend following the wiring from the connector on your trailer and testing them for function to verify this.
We do not have any 5-Way connectors available with a 9-wire pigtail, but you can use a wishbone harness like the # A40W5B. This trailer-side 5-Way connector has 6 wires, with a separate running light wire for each side of the trailer. You will just need to connect your additional wires to the appropriate wire on the connector with butt connectors like # 05731-5.
