I planning to re-wire my trailer from start to finish, what do I need to do this? My trail is equipped with electric brakes. The trailer is 6’7” x 20.

To completely rewire your 20' trailer from start to finish I recommend using the following parts:

Junction Box - Trailer Wiring Junction Box - 7 Color Coded Terminals item # 3375601101

10 Gauge Wiring for Brakes and 12v Power Sold by the Foot - 10 Gauge Primary Wire item # 10-1-1

16 Gauge Wiring for Lights Sold by the Foot - Bonded 4 Wire item # 16-4B-1

3/16 Inch Ring Terminals item # 44-5310A

1/4 Inch Ring Terminals item # DW05702-1

12-10 Gauge Butt Connectors item # 05732-2

16-14 Gauge Butt Connectors item # 05731-5

That's a very good question, we tend to be extra cautious and say to use 10 gauge wire because that would be more than enough. When you get into longer trailers that will end up using a lot of wire the heavier gauge wire becomes more necessary.…
