Question:
Watching the video review, there is a mention of a roof garnishment for the vent fan 2 connection tabs on opposite sides. Looking over the questions and accessories, I dont see any roof side garnishments for the vent fan. So 2 questions: It looks like there are about 30 holes along the edge - assume that this is how the vent is secured to the roof - good assumption? The use of a garnishment is assumed to be optional - how would I know if it is required - looking at what is there, it appears to just be the vent with the screw holes attached to the roof though the installed one is metal, not plastic. See attached photo. FYI - the damage is from a hail storm recently which is why I am looking to replace it.

Really good questions, and let's start with securing the Ventline E-Z Lift Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan - Manual Lift - White # V3094-601-00.
You are correct about the holes, as those are screw holes for the vent; then you'd use butyl tape and sealant to complete the install. You can get the full install kit with the Roof Vent Installation Kit # 344270KITW.
As for the ceiling garnish, it is required for the installation of the Ventline E-Z Lift # V3094-601-00. The vent has a slot which you'll simply insert the garnish into, and the correct garnish just depends on the thickness of your roof:
- 1-7/8" to 3" Thick Roof: Ceiling Garnish for Ventline Roof Vent # VA0445-34
- 2-7/8" to 4" Thick Roof: Ceiling Garnish for Ventline Roof Vent # VA0445-35
- 3-7/8" to 5" Thick Roof: Ceiling Garnish for Ventline Roof Vent # VA0445-36
- 4-7/8" to 6" Thick Roof: Ceiling Garnish for Ventline Roof Vent # VA0445-37
So you'll want to pick the closest thickness of your roof, and if there is excess, you'd simply trim that part of the garnish. Then, the only other thing you may need are butt connectors to connect the wires, and for that you'd use the 16-14 Gauge Butt Connectors # 05731-5.
