I have just today received delivery of my order. The delivery time was as promised, less than a week and everything was delivered As ordered. I will be using E-Trailer for all of my future orders. Thank you for your help and useful information, Bradley was a wealth of knowledge.

The product is just fine, as long as not using for an application that requires a waterproof connection. This is not a heat shrinkable connector.

The products are working just fine.

The brake assemblies I received seem to be just fine. They were a good fit on my trailer. Haven't completed the job yet to try the brakes out, but they look great. All my other parts were correct and very well packaged. I really appreciate the great customer service. These guys seem to really care.

  • Could Just the Converter Box of the # 118379 get Wired In to Replace Old Converter
Yes, if your # 118379 was damaged and you wanted to just replace the converter box you could cut the bad box out and then wire in just the converter of a new # 118379. You could use butt-end connectors like part # DW05714 or solder them in. It would be just a matter of matching the wires color for color.

  • Locating Reverse Light Circuit on 2001 Dodge Ram 1500
I do not have any information that is specific to your 2001 Ram, but I can certainly help you through the process. The easiest way to do this is to access the rear of one of your tail light assemblies, as if you were replacing a burned out bulb. Once you look at the rear of the assembly, it should be immediately evident which wire feeds the reverse light (clear bulb). You would tap the wire with the blue stripe into that circuit, using a butt connector like part # DW05714. Be sure to wrap...

  • Installation of Reese Brakeman Trailer Brake Controller in 2014 Dodge Ram
The trailer brake controller custom wiring adapter that you referenced, Tekonsha part # 3023-P works with all Tekonsha controllers unless they are the hard-wire type like your Brakeman. Based on my research the Brakeman has four hard-wired leads exiting its back rather than a plug to accept the adapter. You can still use the adapter to make the truck-side connection to the under-dash port, and simply cut off the flat connector (that is intended for the rear port on a current Tekonsha controller)...

  • What is the Wire Gauge Used for the Dexter Predator Brake Controller for a 2008 Chevy Silverado
No problem, I'm happy to help. I went out to the warehouse with our little wire gauge measuring tool to measure the wires on the Dexter Predator # 58-8. They all came up as 14 gauge (btween 12 and 14 but closer to 14). So a butt connector such as # DW05714 would work for the installation.

  • Installing Trailer Brake Controller on 2012 Chevy Silverado with Factory 7-Way
If your 2012 Chevy Silverado is equipped with the factory 7-Way connector at the rear there isn't an actual OEM port behind the dash for a brake controller plug-and-play install, however all the needed wiring is present. This means you can simply hardwire the Dexter Predator DX2 Brake Controller # 58-8 directly to the factory wire bundle behind the dash of your truck. Based on my research these blunt cut wires are behind the steering column. You will make the following connections using...

14 gauge wire is used with the USB Power Outlet for RVs - 2 USB Ports # 37215115. So you can connect the wires with two of the Butt Connector - PVC - for 16-14g Wire # DW05714. Then to mount it in the correct plate is the Mounting Plate for 12V Socket or USB Outlet # 37215155. I have added some links below to video reviews for you to check out as well.

  • OEM-Style Trailer Wiring Harness for 2011 Nissan Rogue SV
We do offer a custom 4-pole trailer wiring harness for the 2011 Rogue that plugs in at the tail light assemblies, part # 118480 from Tow Ready. This product wires in to your Rogue at a different point than the OEM harness which we do not offer. I have linked an installation video showing the process in a 2011 Rogue. The Tow Ready harness does require a 12V power input to its red wire (made through the included wire and fuse holder). Normally this wiring connection is run up along the vehicle...

  • How to Wire Tekonsha Sentinel Brake Controller in 2007 Chevy Suburban
Your 2007 Chevy Suburban will have tow package wiring under the dash and typically these wires will be red, dark blue, light blue (or orange) and white. These tow package wires should be below the steering column to the left of the brake pedal and tied together with white tape. It sounds like you have found the correct wires although the colors may have faded slightly from age. The RED wire from the Suburban connects to the BLACK wire on the controller; the DARK BLUE wire connects to...

  • When is it Recommended To Use Dielectric Grease When Wiring
We want to thank you for your recent purchase! You wouldn't need to use dielectric grease with a butt connector such as part # DW05714 (view video at the 1:16 mark) as electrical tape will work great. Heat shrinkable tubing such as part # DW05451 will help protect against the elements. It works with 14-18 gauge wire. Most trailer light wiring is 16-gauge. Once you have your wire inside the tubing you can use a heat gun, blow dryer and/or lighter utilize the heat shrinkable tubing. We...

  • Recommended Wire Gauge Needed to Extend Vent Fan Power Wire to Charge Controller
To wire up your Ventline vent # VP-543SP the correct gauge wire needed is a 16 gauge like # DW02359-1. You will also want to use the 16 gauge buttconnectors like # DW05714 to connect the two wires. You definitely want this to be connected to a fused power source so if your charge controller isn't fused then on the 16 gauge wire you would want to wire in a 5amp fuse to protect the unit.

The stop light switch wiring is located behind your brake pedal on your 2017 GMC Acadia. See the picture for a visual. The Draw-Tite Activator IV # 5504 will work with a wiring harness adapter like part # 20127, for your 2009 Chevrolet Silverado. This means you will need to splice into the brake controller wiring under the driver's side dash in order to install the brake controller. There will be a bundle of wires tied together with white tape. These are the wires you will to connect your adapter to. • Connecting New 4-Way with 4 Wires to Trailer that Has 5 Wires
The two tan wires of your trailer wiring will get ran to the single brown wire of your new plug. This circuit is the running lights circuit and since it goes to both sides of the trailer there's two wires for it. You'd run the two wires into one side of a butt connector like part # DW05714 and the single wire from the new connector gets ran to the other side.

  • Why Does This Come with 2 14 ga and 2 12 ga Connectors?
They send out a common connector kit with it and you're correct they don't match up. The wires on that plug are all 14 ga. If you're having troubles finding the connectors you can use Butt Connector - PVC - for 16-14g Wire - Qty. 1 part # DW05714. As an alternative you can simply use Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers - Honda part # 3070-P. This will plug in directly to your Pilot and brake controller eliminating the need for any connections to be made at all.

  • Correcting Reversed Turn Signal Lights on Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness HM43415
It sounds like the wiring on your 2000 4Runner needs to be corrected so that the turn signal lights activate correctly and are consistent with the wiring on your other vehicles. First make sure the tail light connectors are installed on the correct side of the 4Runner. I don't have a set of installation instructions for the # 47-84-008 that I can show you, but I can walk you through the installation. What you will need to do is first remove the current taillights you have on your trailer. Remove any screws from the assembly and pull it out. Next you will need to cut the wires that ran from the old assembly. Try to note if you can what the functions of the wire are. This may not be possible but if so it will help to wire up the new assembly. Next you...

  • How to Power an Interior Truck Cap Light on a 2002 GMC Sierra 4x4
You have a number of options to power an interior light on your truck bed cap. You could use the 12 volt power wire going to the trailer connector on your truck as a power source. I recommend installing a switch to turn the light on and off when needed, unless the light comes with a switch. Since your 4-way was cut off you'd need to also cut the wire off of the 7-way adapter and hardwire the connections there.
