Question:
Good evening, I’m wondering if it is possible that not all 2015 Jeep Cherokee trailhawks don’t have a plug and play for a brake control unit? I have looked all over the web and YouTube as well as your website to see where it would be and I am not finding one. If not, what would be used to install a break control for a trailer with brakes? I have included pictures from under my steering wheel Thanks in advance

In order to have a plug and play brake controller, your 2015 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk would have to have the factory tow package and factory trailer connector. If you have those things, you would have have a plug-in option, with the connector being up above the emergency brake pedal under the dash.
If you do have that you would be able to use:
- Custom Wiring Adapter for Trailer Brake Controllers # 3014-P
- Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195
The Prodigy P3 is the most reliable brake controller on the market and is very simple to use with its clear display while also giving you the smoothest braking so I strongly recommend it.
If it turns out you do not have the factory tow package or a factory trailer connector then you can still use the Prodigy P3, but you will need a couple of other parts:
- T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118605
- Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7
- Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195
This will give you the connectors needed to install the Prodigy P3 brake controller in your Jeep. I have added a link to video reviews for you to check out, an install of the 4-way on a 2015 Cherokee, and a couple help articles on brake controllers to take a look at.
