This 2-3/4" x 1-7/8" LED license plate light puts out a crisp white light through a clear lens, giving clear visibility for your plate without drawing much power. With three LEDs that last up to 50 times longer than incandescent bulbs, you’ll never have to worry about replacing burnt-out filaments again. At just 0.035 amps at 12.8V, it’s incredibly efficient and runs cool thanks to durable surface-mount technology that resists shock and vibration.
If your trailer ever gets submerged, this light can handle it. The black polycarbonate housing and clear lens are sonically sealed into a single waterproof unit, keeping water out and protecting the circuit board and diodes. Whether it’s rain, road spray, or full submersion, the sealed design makes sure your light stays bright and functional.
Installation is straightforward with the included surface-mount studs spaced on 1-3/4" centers. Each stud is 3/4" long for a snug and secure fit against the surface—no need to cut holes into your trailer body. Just mount it flush and connect the two wires using the 0.180 female barrel connectors. Nuts are sourced separately so you can match them to your setup for a clean finish.
The tough polycarbonate housing shrugs off impacts and vibration while keeping the LEDs protected. It’s designed to handle bumps and jolts without cracking or dimming over time. Products were as advertised. I only wish that the lighting products were packaged better instead of just loose in the box with a tire and wheel. The product was apparently undamaged (though I have not installed it yet) but I feel that there could have been broken components with this shipping method.

Thank you yes, the light works well! I do have a question for you. I have a trailer and I need to find a fender. I want one that I am able to stand on to get in my boat but I don't know which grade I need for that. The fender will have support. Will you help me with my problem? Thank you in advance

The light package looks good. This will be the third time I am replacing this light. That’s because they fail due to rain water from the roof rusting out the component. This new light assembly looks like it has good protection from getting wet. Thank you for excellent delivery service.

Had a trailer that had a light below the license plate. Lens kept coming loose and falling out. This sealed unit will work a lot better.
Nice sturdy replacement. Back plates and lights on trailers sometimes get abused. This one looks like it will hold up!
The light mounts with nuts instead of screws, which was a bit of a hassle. The wires were a good, heavy gauge with connectors installed. It works well and the mount is nice and solid.
Four stars because the License Plate Light only comes with the attached mounting studs - no nuts or washers. I live 30 minutes from the nearest hardware store so will have to invest an hour to get two nuts and star washers.
I would give it a 1 star rating. Simply due to the fact that it came with no washers or nuts to mount it. Now i must find out thread size, sae or metric, purchase the and install
20/20 hindsight I would have been better off going to NAPA and got it as a complete assembly.

I contacted the manufacturer and the mounting studs are .75 inch long and the thread size in metric is 24 and standard size is a #10.
The trailer light works excellent and lights my license plate perfectly. Very nice part.
It's exactly like the original part on my trailor.

This is a quality product. It was an excellent replacement for an old license plate light + has the advantage of being a brighter LED. I haven't tried the submersible :) feature yet!
Awesome service and product
This light is a replacement for one I bought earlier. Installed original light and it didn't work. I cut the plug terminals off so return wasn't an option. After receiving this replacement, I decided to test it. I went out to the truck battery and held the black wire on the negative and the white wire on the positive terminal. To my shock, it didn't work. LEDs only work one direction, meaning they have polarity, so I reversed my wires and the light came on. After all this, I bet the original light is fine but hooked up backwards. Nothing really wrong with the light. Pretty average construction. I just wish these manufacturers would pay attention to what wire colors they use. Everyone knows that Black is Negative, at least in North America. Also, somewhat my bad for not checking. Would have saved me a lot of time and aggrivation.
This is what I needed for my Lowes 5x8 trailer - I mounted the license plate on the back of the ramp/gate so it doesn't drag on the ground. I would have expected that it would have come with nuts and washers, though. The threaded studs work with 8-32 locking acorn nuts, that I got at my local hardware store.

Even though the item was out of stock and had to be ordered I do not blame the company for the delays involved after placing my order, especially pre Christmas time with the post office crunch for all retail sales.
However, I have no complaint about the excellent service and communication I've received from etrailer.com. They stayed on top of my inquiries and kept me informed throughout the order process. I was trying to find an exact match for a license plate light/lamp for a Motorcycle Cargo Camping Trailer that was over 30 years old and they were the only ones who had it available after searching thoroughly for it high and low.
