Video Transcript for Breaking Down the LED Trailer Tail Light

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this round LED stop, tail, turn trailer tail light, with the red lens. Now, this is a round trailer tail light, it'll serve three functions. It's a stop light, tail light and a turn signal light. Now, at the end of this video, I'm gonna it up to some power, just to show you, how it operates. Does use LEDs, would make great replacements for incandescent lights.

They last about 50 times longer, they're more efficient, they'll provide brighter light with less power output, and of course, no bulbs to replace or brittle filaments that'll break, and they do have a life time warranty on the LEDs. It is a nice polycarbonate lens and housing, mention has the red lens on it. It is a recessed mount design, it is designed to mount with a grommet, a rubber grommet. Now the rubber grommet is not included, we do sell that separately on our website, it's part number A45GB, and it's usually listed on this product page, as a related product. It is designed, the slide is designed to fit into a four and a half inch diameter hole.

If you notice, on the back, it does accept the industry standard three prong plug, again, we sell that separately, if you need that. Now, this is compatible with 12 volt and 24 volt DC systems, it is DOT, Department of Transportation compliant. A few specs on this, the diameter from one end to the other, is right at four and five sixteenths of an inch. The depth, if we include the portion here, where the plug goes in, it's about one and thirteen sixteenths of an inch. Not including that part, just the light itself, is about three quarters of an inch deep.

We've mentioned it is seven LEDs, power draw at 12.8 volts, for the stop and turn signal is .234 amps, for the tail light, it's .033 amps. So, again, you can see it's a three prong plug, so I happened to attach. There's the three prong plug, that'll fit onto that. So, if you just line it up, plug it in, and with it plugged in, we'll go ahead and turn on the power, and you can see, with the power on, there's your seven LEDs. Go ahead and turn off the overhead light, and you see it's a very bright light.

That would be your tail light, and if you do your brake light, that would be your brake light. So, when you apply your brake pedal, you get the brighter light, and then if you do your turn signals, there's your turn signal light. Go ahead and turn back on overhead lights, and turn off our power. But that should do it, for the review, on this round LED stop, tail, turn, trailer tail light, with the red lens..
