Most brake controllers clutter up the cab or get in the way, but this one hides completely under the dash. The main box is only 3-3/8" long x 3" wide x 7/8" thick and mounts out of sight with an adhesive pad or zip ties. You don’t lose knee room or hit anything when getting in and out. If you brake gently, the trailer eases in; if you stop hard, it matches your intensity. It works with 1 to 4 axles and supports electric trailer brakes for steady, predictable stops every time.
Hookup takes just a few minutes thanks to the custom harness that plugs directly into your factory brake controller port. No cutting or hardwiring — just connect both ends and pair it to your phone in about five seconds. The LED on the unit shows you status and troubleshooting codes so setup is clear and quick. Once paired and calibrated, you’re ready to tow.
The Echo under-dash controller includes built-in reverse polarity and short-circuit protection for safe operation. If Bluetooth ever disconnects, it keeps working using your last saved settings. With its compact hidden design, wireless control, and proportional response, it’s a simple way to add modern braking control without changing how your truck’s interior looks or feels.

Still 5 stars, lots of trips including a long tow of over 5000 miles. Consistently worked flawlessly. Mild annoyance that they changed the app but once I learned how the new app worked it continues to function flawlessly.

I reached out to Curt about the problems with the new app. They advised that the new app runs the same as the old app it has to run in the foreground unless they are using the button which is the same as the old app. They wanted to know if you were having trouble getting past that screen. Which type of cell phone do you have and which IOS are you using?
