Good morning, I am looking at purchasing the CURT Trailer brake controller, part # 51170 along with the CURT 51522 Quick Plug Brake Controller Wiring Harness. For my 2010 Volkswagen Touareg. Would you please confirm that this combination is plugin and play, no wire splicing required. Thank you. Andy

That is a great question Andy and I can understand your confusion as we do have the Technical Bulletin which I have linked near the bottom of the page next to the instructions. You will be able to connect the Curt Spectrum # C51170 to your 2010 Volkswagen Touareg using the Pigtail # C51522. There is a chance you will have to add a relay to get a more consistent power to the controller which is outlined in the Technical Bulletin but you will not need the parts outlined in the beginning of the Bulletin since we have the Pigtail # C51522.
