I believe this is a good product. The best rear/side view I can attain to improve my rear/side view on the extremely undersized stock mirrors on our 2019 Suburban.
However, I have lost three mirrors in travel that have literally fell off the stock mirror frame. I even enhanced the last one with a stop nut to keep the clamping screw from possibly loosening during travel. Thought maybe it was loosening up from road vibrations. Also, the third mirror dropped off just this past weekend while rolling down the road. Needless to say, there is nothing left of the mirror after hitting the pavement. I still have a pair of mirrors that strap onto the stock mirrors that have never fallen off. I will probably use them until I find something better.

If you guys have any suggestions to keep these mirrors mounted, let me know.

I do have a set of towing mirrors that will work for you and they are a snap on mirror part # KS80920 on our site. Instead of using clips like universal mirrors they slide onto the existing mirror which gives it a snug fit. It is rare to loose a slide on mirror and based on your experience I think you would be happier with them.

by:

The mirrors look great and fit as I expected but I have not driven the truck yet to see how they will handle the rough ride, (Vibration) from the truck. My reason for not giving the Excellent rating. The mirrors gave me an additional 5 inches of visibility on each side of my 1995 Ford F250. GREAT!! I expect this to be just what I was looking for

by:
Pontiac Montana

I have not actually used the mirrors as it is winter in Billings Montana and none of my camping locations are open, but I did tried the mirrors on my vehicle to make sure they fit.

by:

I use these on a Ford Escape when towing my 13' camper. I will admit it took me a few tries to make sure they were tight enough to stay on but I figured it out. I make a point to check the knobs whenever I stop on my travels. After being on the road for a while my eyes adjust to just using the towing mirrors. I don't really notice much, if any, vibration from them. Glad I made the purchase.

by:

Positionally, the mirror performs well. However, the tension brackets provide inadequate clamping strength. The mirror is essentially a sail that wind is pushing against as you drive down the road... constantly challenging the two lone clamps. You can only tighten the clamps so much before tension partially releases and you need to re-tighten. I lost one of these mirrors five minutes into my second 9 mile test drive on the freeway. I ended up employing a bungee/zip tie contraption as a safety net so I don't lose the other mirror. My vehicle is a 2014 Honda Odyssey.

by:

The mirrors are of high quality and worked well on my 2016 Escalade. Until one didn't. Blew off on the highway. My fault, I am sure, but I thought they were plenty tight. In fairness, the Escalade mirrors did not lend themselves well to trailering add-ons. Now have a 2022 Silverado with Snap and Zap mirrors by K-Source that clamp over the factory mirrors. Work great and look great. Got them from you as well. Always impressed by your available inventory and great service!

by:
2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

to much trouble to keep on. used zip ties and still could not get them to stay on. tightened them down as much as I could.

Toyota 4Runner

When I picked up our Yamaha boat with our 4Runner, I could not see to change lanes on the way home. Never knew mirror extensions existed until a quick search online. Decided it was cheaper than a new truck with tow mirrors and I’m glad I bought these. I was hesitant at first, thinking they’d look tacky, but I mounted mine on the bottom of the mirror and they aren’t bad looking. They extend out plenty allowing me to see to back up and change lanes while driving. And they are extremely adjustable. And they can be removed in seconds when not needed. Do your homework before purchasing like I did, that way you’ll know if you over tighten the mounting screws you can potentially break the bracket. Knowing this, I just snug mine down with a reasonable amount of effort, and they stay put. Whoever designed these, thank you for creating a solution to what could have been a very expensive alternative had we purchased another vehicle with tow mirrors.

These mirrors worked great every time I used them, never had an issue. Would definitely recommend them.

by:

works great, no issues with the product. I mounted them on the bottom of the mirror, just worked better that way. The issue I had was the driver side mirror folding in a couple times from trucks going past due to the added surface area.

All still good. No other folding in of the mirrors.

2011 Toyota Tacoma

Needed extensions to see very narrow rowing-scull trailer behind my 2011 Toyota Tacoma. Can now see nearly whole trailer when going straight, and through all backing operations. Mounted unit to bottom of existing mirrors with extension mirror hinged downward (like other Tacoma customer). Added LocTite to fastenings. Quality of materials very good. Mirror sizes perfect, and convex shape just right. Thanks for a good product.

by:
2006 Dodge Dakota

Kudos to the folks that designed these mirrors. I have worked in the automotive repair business for over 50yrs, I've seen trash parts and good parts. These mirrors are excellent quality and they fit my 2006 Dodge Dakota crew cab like a silk glove, also the stock electric mirrors are still able to be adjusted no interference from the clamps on the extension mirrors. Great product, thank you

by:

I put these on my 2020 Ford Ranger. Tightened everything as tight as possible but only went about a mile at 40 mph and one flew off in ditch. Design should be set up so wind against it makes it tighter not fly off. Oh well, live and learn.

by:

Mirror extensions. Very easy to put on. Fit like a glove and now I have great vision behind the trailer. Well worth the cost. Placed on Toyota Highlander 2018.

Only fair at best. One came off at freeway speed. The other needed a bungee cord to keep it from going out of position at freeway speed.

by:

They work very well for what I needed. Only used once but seem to be of good quality. Shipping was quick and much appreciated.

by:

Nope, these mirrors weren't made of good quality.
The screws got rusted and were trebling to the point of moving out of their original position. We lost one on a HWY somewhere in NC.

by:
Suzuki Swift

I'm impressed with the quality feel of the mirrors and the easy adjustments. Although I haven't used the mirrors as yet, the set up will be quick and easy. Some people have complained about the mirrors coming off of the vehicle while driving. From what I can tell by the construction, if these mirrors are put on correctly, I see no reason they should come off unexpectedly. I'm also impressed with the company. My original package was supposed to contain two mirrors. It only had one, so I fired off an email to inform customer service. Wayne was incredible. He quickly packed up and shipped out a second mirror. In no time, I had my set. I am grateful to Wayne for his swift attention to my problem. I will write a follow-up review after I have a chance to actually use the mirrors. That is the only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5.

by:

All was well the first several trips with these bad boys, nice tight clamps and very adjustable. But the clamps are plastic, so eventually one broke, was able to source new clamps easily. The very next trip, bam, clamps came loose and lost a mirror to the interstate. Overall a good product, but I would recommend coming up with a safety line in case of clamp failure.

by:

Work well. Fit well. Stay in position. Good extra view. Only complaint is the black finish on 2 Allen wrench cap head screws rusted in first 6 months. Disassembled and repainted.

by:

I was able to make the product work although the application didn’t was not correct my 2008 F150 does not have inside adjustable mirrors and the instructions caused mr to chip a mirror I used super glue and velco to attach the mirrors and they seem stable,

by:
2012 Dodge Grand Caravan

My order for my mirrors came very quickly. The quality looks very good. I just received them so I have not had a chance to use them yet but they look like they will do the job.

by:
Chevrolet Colorado

This mirror was the only one I could find that would work on my 2021 Chevy Colorado pickup. I have been very pleased with the mirrors. I have learned to check the tightness of the screw on clamps, each time I stop. I have lost two of these from road vibration. I now have 3 of them, so I have a spare if another one gets lost or broken.

by:

These are very nice! Appear well made and easy to install. They will help a lot pulling our little travel trailer.

Evelyn

5/17/2023

Not impressed with these. One fell off our first trip using them. An 18 wheeler blew by and the driver’s side mirror bent. Before we could get the window down and check the stability of the mirror it fell off in the road and broke in multiple pieces. Definitely would Not buy these again!

by:

These mirrors have fallen off three times and the plastic mounts that hold the tightening nuts have broken making the mirrors unusable. They seem like a good, but are not made well making them unreliable.

I wonder if you would like part # KS3891-2. They have ratcheting straps that make the mirrors extra secure. They dont extend as far, however, so just be aware of that if you do choose to get these instead.

by:

These mirrors have been fitted to a 2014 VW Tiguan, pulling a Taxa Cricket trailer. I have had to modify the rubber pads on the mirror clamp by cutting each pad almost in half (see photo) to accommodate the car mirror design (see photo). I will glue the pads to the clamp to keep them from getting lost. The mirrors will do the job for which they were purchased. I have not yet driven at speed, but I do not anticipate any problems. The mirrors are securely attached.

by:

Good mirrors allow you to see the back end of the trailer. Super easy instal and setup. Everything going well on our first ever trip with our new trailer and new mirrors, until return trip. My passenger side mirror was blown away. Contacted CIPA the manufacturer a week ago and never heard anything back from them they are just dismissing my inquiry. That the only reason for the low rating

Yes, the CIPA Universal Towing Mirrors part # CM11980-2 will fit your 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. I took a look at the housing and there appears to be plenty of lip for the mirror to attach to so you will not have any issues with compatibility. There are not any custom fit towing mirror available for the 2019 model as of July 2019 so a universal set like the above is your only option now.
