Question:
How do I measure to get a replacement torsion axle for my trailer, as my current axle has been bent and the spindle threads are messed up. Thanks!

Hi Ernest,
We don't currently carry replacement torsion axles, but I can definitely help get you pointed in the right direction. The two main measurements you'll need are the hub face measurement, which is from the wheel mounting surface on one hub to the same surface on the other side, and the mounting bracket spacing, measured from outside to outside of the brackets that attach the axle to the trailer frame.
You'll also want to know the axle's weight capacity and the angle of the torsion arms. Since your axle is bent, just get the best measurements you can. If there's still a manufacturer tag or sticker on the axle, definitely grab a picture of that too since it can make finding the correct replacement much easier. This should at least give you a good starting point when you contact an axle manufacturer or local trailer shop.
