When you’re loading up for a weekend getaway or a long road trip, this complete Yakima BaseLine system gives you the space and stability to bring your gear along. It includes 2 JetStream crossbars, 4 BaseLine towers, and a custom fit kit that installs on your vehicle’s naked roof. The aluminum construction keeps things light yet strong, and the system supports up to 165 lbs—just check your vehicle’s maximum roof load capacity before you pack.
A loud rack can turn a peaceful drive into a chore. The JetStream crossbars have an aero-style shape that helps minimize drag and whistling as you drive. Rubber strips in the top channels push down around your accessories to smooth airflow even more. The result is a quieter ride with less vibration so you can focus on the road ahead instead of the sound over your head.
Some racks require cutting rubber strips to fit carriers or mounts, but these bars skip that step. The push-down strips let you press hardware into the top channels without trimming anything. Once mounted, the strips close back up to seal against wind and weather. It’s a simple design that saves time during setup and keeps the bars clean and aerodynamic.
From kayaks and canoes to cargo boxes and bike mounts, these crossbars work with most universal accessories that mount in the top channels or clamp around the bars. Each bar measures 60" long x 2-3/4" wide x 1-1/8" tall with top channel dimensions of 7/8" wide x 7/16" tall x 7/16" opening. The durable aluminum build stands up to regular use while keeping weight low for better efficiency and handling.
For extra peace of mind on overnight trips or trailhead stops, the BaseLine towers accept Yakima Same Key System (SKS) lock cores, sold separately. With them installed, you can lock down your rack to deter theft and keep your gear secure wherever your travels take you.

Ackage came 2 days early the install was somewhat easy (did it by myself)
Did not get to mount anything to it but seems really sturdy. One thing I can say is mark out your mounting points with provided stickers then put up and make adjustments to the roof rack.

Your notice of schemes was a lot better than the yakima site provided. They did not suggest the scheme you did.
But when the products arrived, the instructions were by yakima. Generally worked as instructed except the tower to tower transverse mounting dimensions needed to be tweaked for a perfect fit.
Easy to install and sturdy. I carry a 9' pontoon boat on my camper shell using this rack at freeway speeds with no problems.
So far so good. Purchased these towers to use on a 2022 GMC Canyon with HD bars that I already had, primarily to carry my canoe. Yakima's fitting instructions worked perfectly and the whole system seems really solid.

Work exactly as they should and hold everything securely to my vehicle without interfering with the car’s normal operation. etrailer had best prices based on my research. These bars are much quieter than traditional round bars and worth the added expense.
These parts are exactly what we needed as part of our roofrack kit purchased from etrailer. Excellent solution for my 2023 Chevy Silverado. In the past, I have had rails installed on the roof of my pickup trucks, but I find the BaseLine towers to be a better solution, since they don't permanently change the truck. Plus, they are much more solid than SkyLine system on the rails.

For those also buying crossbars for cars without roof rails, recommend taking a silver sharpie and marking the placement of the crossbars on the weather seal at the top of the door openings. Makes putting them back on way less of a hassle if you don’t want them on 24/7.
