Question:

I see the part in the picture is extending out a few inches beyond the width of the car. I do not want that. Can I use the 50 inch?? I know that there is a more integrated looking crossbar that fits inside the roof rails, however, I like the other look better... just without extending out so far over the sides. Please advise?

According to Yakima, the shortest crossbars that will work on your Ridgeline is their 'medium' crossbar which is the 60 inch long # Y00426. If you go any shorter than that, the bar won't be long enough to properly connect to the roof rack feet.

To provide a rack, if you have the bare roof you'd need the following:

60 Inch Crossbars, part # Y00426
BaseLine Towers, part # Y28TR
Vehicle Specific BaseClips, part # Y06152

If your Ridgeline has the side rails on the roof, you'd use the same crossbars as above, along with the # Y33TR TimberLine towers.
