Note: Tie-down straps and their accessories must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

What's up, everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out this ratchet strap set. So this is gonna be four ratchet straps that are two inches wide and 15 feet long. Let's check 'em out. With this kit, you're gonna get four ratchet straps and a carrying bag for them, which is nice. You can keep 'em all together when they're not in use.
That way they're not sprawled all out in your toolbox or the back of your truck. We'll talk about the bag a little bit later. Right now, I wanna focus on the straps. Really handy to have ratchet straps. You see we have two things tied down on our trailer today.
I am confident they're not gonna go anywhere. I can shake the whole trailer back and forth because of how tight these straps do get on your cargo when you strap 'em down. Focusing on the ends here, they're gonna have vinyl coated S hooks with a catch here, so that's good for if it's loose and you're getting things set up, you don't have to worry about the hook just coming right back out. So if I can loosen up a little bit more, I got the tension off the strap here. I'm gonna bring it out, and I'll show you what I'm talking about.
So without the catch, it would just be here. So if something happened, it could pop out if it was loose. With that there, now, you know it's not going anywhere. The straps themselves are gonna be made out of polyester webbing, so it's pretty much seatbelt materials. You know they're not gonna rip or tear easily.
When you get the straps, they're gonna come in two parts. You're gonna have the ratchet mechanism here and then the strap that attaches to the other side. Just gonna run it right through the middle. Pull out the actual strap. And with the other side clipped in, you're gonna pull on the center handle. Then it goes into ratchet mode. We'll just pull on that (strap clicking) to ratchet it. You see how tight it is I'm just gonna repeat that for the other three. Now, if you have extra strap, you don't wanna leave that just blowing around in the wind, so it's better to tie it off to your strap that's tightened down. So we'll just come here. Fold it on itself and tie a knot. And that should be good there. Now, the bag does come with this four strap set, but if you buy a different set and still want the bag, it is sold separately. Overall, I really like this ratchet strap set. I always rather have these than use bungee cords or rope. I know that whatever cargo I put on the trailer is gonna be secure, and four means I most likely have enough for any situation. Well, I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out and hope this helps.
